Maru Sushi favours a burgerβled mix with clear, clean flavours. A sensible spend for the spread. Easy carryβout for a simple night in. Plates offer plenty without weighing things down. Buns hold well and patties come juicy.
I was there quite early, very limited sushi options and the price is fair. The rice in the sushi were quite sticky and soggy, it reminds me of glutinous rice -not quite to my taste.
My favourite sushi place in the Hauraki district. The food is always great and the customer service is the best! Our last visit was for my cousin's birthday and they gave her a lil freebie!
This place was amazing! The lady at the counter was amazing and really friendly, sushi is very decently sized, much bigger and better than bigger companies in the malls. All sushi we had was kept at a good temperature and made fresh!! great sushi and even better service, would be willing to say the best iβve had :) worth the trip
Super busy, sushi was average but the sushi train was really cool and your specific dishes came really quickly on a separate belt! Very limited for vegans and vegetarians but a few options. It was super cheap as well.

I travel all over the Waikato for work and always look for a sushi shop wherever I go. Maru Sushi would be one of the best. They have good sized portions at a great price.
My favourite dining place in town. Always greeted by a warm friendly smile by the lady boss. There is always a great variety of well priced fresh sushi and other japanese treats. My favourite being the pork bun which clearly reminds me of home. One distinctive feature of the shop is that all the legs of all the chairs sit on tennis balls...a clever way to prevent scratches on the floor and definitely one of a kind in New Zealand.
