“The verandah is in a quiet and private setting overlooking the sea. Lovely old house, which has undergone a refurbishment giving it a modern feel while still keeping it's charm. Warm and extremely comfortable bed. The family who run the verandah are lovely. Will miss breakfast on the verandah each morning with those amazing sea views.”

“Absolutely amazing 2 night stay. Loved every minute. We stayed with our two teenage daughters who loved sleeping in the loft. Everything was pristine and clean. Bedding was comfortable and the garden was beautiful. Easy walk downhill into Napier town centre. If we could package up the house and take it with us on holiday, we would! “We spent three nights at this fantastic location with bush and water views overlooking the Otago Peninsula. Close to the quaint Portobello Village with pub, cafes and restaurants as well as easy drive to Penguin Place, Monarch Cruise and Albatross Centre. Comfortable bed, big bath, well equipped with everything you need. Shaun is a wonderful host, very welcoming and informative about the local area. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Loved the bird table and birds that came to visit.”
