“The staff are what makes this place: they are so nice and they listen carefully. My partner tells me I am the most fussy coffee customer on the planet; they listen to my order and always get it right with the perfect coffee.”
“got a flat white here. Family owned small business, food truck set up along the waterfront. Quick service and good coffee.”
“DELICIOUS! We ordered High Tea for 2 people. Everything was delicious. The best price I've found in town for a high tea. The place is cozy and with a lovely atmosphere, and Karl, the owner is very friendly and accommodating. 10/10 can't recommend enough”
“I mean, warm, tasty empanadas, sweet, endulging homemade alfajores, classic kiwi chippies, beach side, in wellington on a nice sunny day... What more could you ask for. Need to stop here and get yourself a sweet (or two!) And a savoury if you're passing by. Highly recommend. She was lovely too.”
“Love this boutique cafe. Flatwhite was very well made. Bought two bags of bean and the coffee smell in the car highlighted all my trip. He gave me a pen and sticker as gifts also. Hopefully I will come back soon”
“Amazing coffee! Tiny place, perfect place for a take away.”
“After a nice walk up the hill, only to be greeted by a friendly singing barista, cool vibes, hot coffee and yummy treats. Thanks Thomas we’re lucky to have you in our village. A+++”
“Hidden behind a parade of shops. Music from an extensive vinyl collection, with handmade pottery cups and mugs for sale. The distillation of laid back island life in a small welcoming business. Oh, and did I mention that they make very good coffee? Altogether delightful.”
“Best sandwiches in Wellington and it’s not even close. It must be said the bread does a lot of heavy lifting in terms of making these Sammie’s what they are. Certainly no slouches on the filling either. Frequent menu rotation makes it easy to keep coming back for more. Good boy? That’s an understatement!!”
“Great little gem in Sumner. Their matcha lattes are among the best I’ve had. Served in the most gorgeous ceramic cup. Service was really friendly.”
“Went here the other day for a coffee and I can highly recommend it! I didn't get anything else, but all the food and treats looked tasty as - and price appear to be very reasonable.”
Sabal runs with a classic fish‑and‑chips menu and a relaxed pace. Provision for coeliac diners is noted. There’s always a considered veg choice. Fillets arrive fresh and the fry stays clean. The team...
“A perfect flat white made with locally sourced Hohepa milk. The owner is a fantastic friendly guy who surfs longboards. They do takeaways, but I'd recommend taking a load off and enjoying your relaxing cuppa in-house. Highly recommended.”
“Seriously great coffee. First time I’ve come here and couldn’t have asked for a better coffee to start 2026!”
“The food here is amazing. The menu is curated well and each dish is prepared with care. We had a wonderful server who took the time to explain each dish. A wonderful experience :)”
“Brilliant coffee, friendly server, terrific quirky decor. A little piece of urbanist heaven.”
“My favorite place in Auckland for lunch! Tasty, delicious food and amazing service! They’re always generous and kind, and sometimes they’ve even given us something for free. 100/100”
“Beautiful food, generous portions & fast service! Large variety of options catering to every taste. Most dishes are vegetarian (and full of flavour!!) but there is still the option to add on bacon if you prefer a traditional bacon and eggs. My husband and I had the Turkish Eggs with Halloumi & the Egg Stuffed Roti - both delicious!”
“Our month-long North Island campervan trip is coming to an end. We arrived in Auckland earlier than planned during our trip, and we hurriedly found a campsite. It looked like a vagrant's hostel, so we canceled our reservation. We were so shocked as to get out without thinking further. To think properly, we decided to grab a bite to eat at the first cafe we found, but it was closing time. We were eating our takeaway sandwiches on a bench outside, and the staff came out and handed a full bag of leftover doughnuts and bread from the day. They could have given them to another customers, but I think they gave them to us because we were on our way. The reason I mention this in my review is that I was impressed by their strict adherence to the same-day sales policy. The bread from our sandwiches at closing time was crispy and delicious, as if freshly baked. They could have sold the bread of still good quality the next day, but they'll bake tomorrow's bread the next day. Isn't that wonderful? As we were leaving, the staff, busy with cleanup, all waved cheerfully and said goodbye. My initial panic instantly calmed, and I felt at ease again. My husband said the cream donut was his thing, and even though he was already full from the sandwich, he ate it all up in no time. It's a shame I didn't get to try the coffee. I'll come back before I return to Korea to try the coffee and review it. (No photos taken in the bad mood)”
“Really, really yummy! I recommend the Indo-Chinese chicken momo and the spicy Indreni naan- absolute show stoppers! And great service from Aviskar”
“We go there almost every week for lunch. Could these be the best burgers in Wellington region? The souvlaki wraps are amazing too.”

“We really enjoy this coffee. Our favourite is the Columbia single origin. We have a recurring subscription order which works really well. Great prompt service from Phoebe Rose.”
“Raglan Roast is by far the best coffee I tried in Hamilton. It’s high quality for an affordable price. The cafe is a very cool environment and has plenty of comfortable seating. As a lover of Melbourne coffee standards, this rates very well.”
On the plate at TUCKER TIRAU, the idea is classic fish‑and‑chips and well judged. Breakfast plates are tidy and satisfying. Serve sizes show solid value. Fries and sides round things out neatly. Fille...
