“Great staff, grwat coffee. Highly recommended”
“Lovely food & service! All food made on site. Just as delicious as the food they serve for dinners! Best cheese scones!”
“Yum! Enjoyed my 'chicken eggs benedict' this morning. Staff were also friendly and smiling. A great start to the day :)”
“First time here and would def recommend. Had falafel wraps and a slice of fruit crumble. Both very tasty and large serves, for a very reasonable price. Nice sunny spot with choice of in or outside dining. Will be back thanks.”
“Delightful little Cafe on good street. I was quite surprised to find a Cafe in this quiet area tucked away from the main street! The iced coffee was delicious, the breakfast we had was good portioned and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the sausage and bacon as they were cooked perfectly whereas some places quite often burn these or are quite oily. The lady was very nice and served us with a smile!”
“Huge shoutout to the amazing staff. We're regulars (Hot chocs and cotto pizza) and I just want to say how fantastic everyone is. The food & drinks are delicious, the ambiance top notch (love the new look), but it's the staff that make the place extra awesome. Special shout out to everyone yesterday and today! (Sep 18-19)”
“Walked in the doors and the place set up was very nice and authentic, the wooded dinning tables and chairs and a couple outdoor table and chairs are nice and simple, sit and enjoy a latte in the morning sun with there signature avo on toast. Customer service is kind and gentle. Not long the cafe began to get busier from 9:15am onwards. This cafe brings the attention of adults from the city Businesses close by. I don't think it would be suitable for young children, it's not spacious enough for prams. This cafe space and dinning seems more suitable to older children, teens, adults. Wheel chair accessible but the space within may not be spacious enough for comfort.”
“Top service and coffee is awesome, great selection of food options including the legendary Fairlie Pies”
“The cafe is very homey. Ambiance is very good . They Dont have much food selection but they were great. They have a small play area for little girls. Good seating capacity around 25 pax at once. The toilet is well maintained. The antique Shop next to the cafe added some vibes. Overall, Top Deck cafe is a good choice :)”
“Quite possibly one of the best cafes I have been to in Hamilton. Anytime I am in the area I like to have a sit down, drink some tea and enjoy their eggs on toast. Lovely food, lovely staff; just lovely all round. Never miss.”
“I stumbled across this cozy little café while exploring Hamilton and it’s easily one of the best breakfast spots I’ve visited in New Zealand! The coffee was exceptional—smooth, rich, and perfectly brewed. I had their scrambled eggs with avocado & halloumi on sourdough and it was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with lots of natural light and a relaxed vibe. It’s clear they take pride in using local, high-quality ingredients, which is a big plus for me. If you’re looking for a great place to start your day, this is it! I can’t wait to return next time I’m in the area. Highly recommend!”
“We had a get together cousins. To remember one of us that had passed. We wanted a happy day and that is exactly what we got. Has oldies having a laugh with our memories. Watching the children as they played. And the food and service was top-notch.I would recommend cafe 77 any time any day thank you cafe 77”
“The Vegan Poke bowl at Pickle and Plum was one of the most delicious meals I’ve possibly ever had ! Could easily fill two people for lunch and had the most amazing flavours. Will definitely be going back for another. As an extra touch it would be lovely to have some vegan baked goods in the cabinet !”
“Ordered Big Breakfast for myself and my wife and WOW it was a BIG Breakfast. The food was beautifully presented and well cooked. The large coffee actually came in large cups, very large cups. Smooth and creamy coffee. All for a reasonable price. Highly recommend IDK Cafe. Thank you...”
“Really accomodating and lovely staff. Plus amazing food. Thank you so much for making our morning after the morning we just had. You are amazing people. Now in 2024. Still run by the same person we remembered serving us about two years ago when we posted the first review. The food is still amazing and great value. Steak and eggs are to die for. Toasties specials are awesome. But the coffee was out of this world. Recently came back from Texas and the first sip of coffee at Nana Lou's recalibrated my taste buds as to how coffee should taste like. Amazing staff, amazing service. Everyone needs to check out this little gem in Putāruru.”
“The owner is French - very authentic food. She is also very nice and friendly. The food is excellent and so is the coffee. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Rotorua. The only complaint I have is that it is rather pricey; we mostly go on special occasions. If it were less expensive, we would definitely go more often. Note that the restaurant itself is not very large so it does tend to fill up during normal meal times.”
“Turned up with 18 work mates for a last Minute brunch. Absolutely not an issue for these ladies, all the food came out looking and tasting amazing. Couldn’t believe how quickly they got all the meals out and a host of coffees. Recommended to anyone wanting an amazing filling bite to eat.”
At Ours Cafe, the menu stays coffee‑and‑cabinet with tidy execution. Eggs land on point and toast keeps its crunch. Serve sizes show solid value. Vegetarian picks read as complete plates. Front‑of‑hou...
“Best Eggs Benedict I’ve ever had!!! Perfectly poached eggs. There was a good selection of breakfast items to choose from as well as some gorgeous cakes/pastries and some pre-made cold sandwiches. The coffee was fantastic. The staff was so friendly. The prices are incredibly reasonable. You have the option of either indoor or outdoor seating. Highly recommend this spot!!”
“I had a lovely lunch today, bacon and broccoli salad, it was so good. Great coffee also, friendly ladies.”
“I'm vision impaired and struggled to read their menu (Very small print with fancy font). It's very busy and I found it difficult to read what they had. It also says online that they make vegan Mac n cheese etc however when I asked they only had soups and fresh sandwiches, tacos etc. The chipotle taco, soup and sandwich I had on two separate occasions were delicious and the fact they cater for vegans and vegetarians is amazing. Seems alternative eating has gone backwards everytime I visit NZ however this place is amazing.”
On the plate at Black Pearl Cafe, the idea is Thai-inspired and well executed. Curries carry clear spice and warmth. The room sits relaxed with an easy buzz. Team members keep things friendly and on task.
MK Cafe Ahuriri keeps things classic fish-and-chips and focused on flavour. Packaging keeps things crisp on arrival. Breakfast plates are tidy and satisfying. Fish is cooked to a clean crunch and chips stay tidy.
“Absolutely love the hot mocha at the artisan cafe! The rich, creamy chocolate combined with the perfect amount of espresso creates a deliciously indulgent drink. The presentation is always top-notch, and the cozy ambiance of the cafe makes it the perfect spot to enjoy this delightful treat. Definitely a must-try for any coffee lover!”
“Great coffee and food. My favorite Cafe around the CBD area.”
“- Welcoming and patient staff. It was our first time and the lady waited until we made up our minds. - Halloumi cheese sandwich. It was fresh and the sauce on top wasn´t spicy whatsoever. Good option to share. - Granola bowl. Surprised me a lot because because it was a huge portion (of granola). However, it came with just a tiny cup of yougurt, some milk, banana and strawberry jam. In my opinion, the should add an extra portion of yogurt. - 1 restroom available. - Great atmosphere. Good place to read. - Outdor tables are available.”
“Found our way here with a random stop while checking out the local area. Grabbed coffee and googled the reviews. Decided to try food, very reasonable prices compared to cafs in the city but there was no compromise on quality. Wicked stoked we came here, this place is awesome. Ginger slice was good but tan slice was the better. Thanks heaps.”
“One of my favourite cafes in Dunedin, great homemade food at a great price and friendly service”
At Tuppence Cafe, the menu stays coffee-and-cabinet, served with an easygoing pace. A coastal backdrop rounds out the stop. Value feels fair for the spread. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy.
“Had the big brekkie and my partner had the eggs on toast. Both were absolutely delicious. The baked beans that came with the big brekkie were particularly phenomenal. Matcha Latte here was great too. Great service, fast and all staff were very friendly. Also great pricing. Will definitely be back. My new brunch spot for sure!”
