“Yum! Enjoyed my 'chicken eggs benedict' this morning. Staff were also friendly and smiling. A great start to the day :)”
“Had an almond croissant and a long black. The coffee was okay. However, it was a bit bitter so I expect the espresso is overextracted. Price was good as seen In one of my photos The croissant was one of the best pastries I have ever had. It was well sized and every bite was delicious. I have also had their breads before and will say that everything they bake is very high quality and very reasonable in price considering what you get. Overall i would heavily recommend this place.”

“Love the atmosphere here. Super cute decor. Great Coffee! We had the batch brew. Equally important, the food is presented beautifully and tastes amazing. It was delightfully filling. I’ve been back a lot and have introduced a few people along the way too. It’s one of my favourite places for a brunch/lunch. Especially if we are heading out for the day or coming back from something.”

“Just popped in for a coffee and a cuppa. Spied the GF Berry Custard Slice in the Cabinet. Being a Coeliac it was a treat to see something different other than a solitary Chocolate Brownie that a lot of Cafes have just to say there is a GF option. SoHo had a number of GF options. The slice was to die for. Got it heated and it was just heaven. One of the nicest slices I’ve ever had. I’ll be back Soho. Thankyou. Great spot”
“As residents of Hawke’s Bay we regularly visit the cafe and have always found the food soooo tasty. Good choice. You must like figs, dried or fresh. Nice coffee. Great spot/surroundings. Lovely food. Cafe is surrounded by fig trees and has a shop.”
“The place was recommended by a fellow backpacker so i'd thought i'll come by to take a look. Not a big place but does have both indoor and outdoors sitting. Everyone's okie to share the table. Minimalistically decorated. Variety on the menu. I was in a dilemma on choosing what to eat and the owner shared what he preferred which wasnt the most expensive thing off the menu. Haha. Shows the love he has for the food and people than the profit. Awesome. I had Hash: its pulled pork and taters.. very well done, not overly salty. Well prepared. Hot chocolate, theres the cadbury and whittakers options. Always nice to know there's a choice. :) Street parking. Help urself to the water, by the counter. All in all, an enjoyable brunch out.”
“Beautifullly situated cafe ! - the most lovely view of rhe Beach and waterfront. Could sit for hours but had eaten the steak, bacon pie too quickly! It's a cosy environment and best seats at definitely away from the door, especially on cold days! Although the owners were quick to close the door when someone forgot to close it. The service was superb!”
“22/04. Love this place, the cabinet food is delish. Perfect setting on a sunny day. 24/08. Back again because it really is our favourite Dunedin spot”
“A gem of a place, super delicious coffee and incredible cakes and pastries, we wanted to try everything and got a few different bits but the caramel, pear and walnut tart was a definite stand out. We sat outside with Gus the dog and he very much enjoyed it and was very spoilt. Lovely owners and so welcoming and friendly. Thank you for having us, we will be back!”
“Good parking, nice decor, chill music and delicious coffee. I didn't try the food though they did have a wonderful selection available, next time huh!”
“While out and about in South Auckland, we stumbled upon The Alexander Cafe, a hidden gem tucked away in an industrial-style area of Ōtara. From the outside, it’s unassuming, but step inside, and you’ll find a relaxed, welcoming spot that’s perfect for a coffee break. We only had time for drinks, but they did not disappoint. We ordered an Iced Coffee with caramel syrup (no cream) and a Dirty Chai (chai with a shot of espresso) — both were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was laid-back, with great music that made it easy to unwind. There’s plenty of seating inside, plus outdoor options for those who prefer fresh air. The menu offers a great selection of food, with a well-stocked cabinet of tempting bites. Whether you're a local or just passing through, The Alexander Cafe is definitely worth a visit!”
“This place was such a great find, amazing food, super friendly staff, and dining with views over rolling farmland made the whole experience feel extra special.”
“Recently opened and was my first visit. Amazing service and great coffee and cheaper than in the village. I will be back to try the yummy looking food! Came back for lunch. Fantastic food. Amazing shake and will definitely return.”
“What a lovely surprise as the outside is so unassuming. Comfy atmosphere with gentle background music. The food is YUM!!. We had BLT and French Toast, hot chocolate and coffee. Beautiful presentation matched the great taste. The cabinet food looks devine, will need to come back for that.”
“Really delicious iced mocha. Perfect mix of chocolate and coffee. Also the inside is really beautiful.”
“This place just re-opened last week. Their bruch options are classic and delicious. They do a very good coffee! Would recommend the Rosti Benedict with hot smoked salmon! All their pastries and cakes are fresh and made in house too. Location is beautiful, you can half a walk along the beach after your meal! The new owners are lovely and very friendly!”
“Ordered the Great Big Breakfast for brunch today. Definitely hit the spot, satisfying my hunger pains after a big gym session. Scrambled eggs (extra eggs) cooked to perfection. Breakfast sausage full of flavor, hash brown golden and crunchy. Bacon cooked just right. Staff very friendly and welcoming. The Cafe had a nice warm and homely vibe. Definitely recommend this place if your looking for somewhere nice to eat.”
“Decent brunch place, interesting location with somewhat difficulty in parking. Clean atmosphere and a nice array of fusion brunch menu. Nice sushi, enjoyed the dish, anything including Asian twist on traditional brunch menu is always up my alley!”
“When I stay in Wellington I come to this lovely little cafe, it feels like it's a great part of the community, with the staff taking the time to know their customers. Such a nice vibe. They know everyone by name and make a huge effort. Happy Friday Eve!”
“Love this place for a quiet midweek lunch. Excellent selection of lovely Pies, and Im also a fan of their Hallume bagels. Nice coffee, my teens always look forward to the milkshakes.”
“Good service and food was delicious. I hadn't realized that some of the dishes needed to be ordered in advance but our group of 7 were very happy with the dishes we were able to order tonight. They didn't have savignon (which is what I normally drink), but I tried the pinot gris and liked it, so all good.”
“One of the best local cafes you can find. Brilliant service and great food. Don't go there, I want to make sure there is room for me.”
“An unplanned quick stopped led us to discover this cozy cafe. What a lovely team! It was almost closing time but staffs were still in all smiles and very accommodating. The choco almond slice was really good. Would like to come back again to try more of their menu.”
“It's only the best bakery in hamilton. But don't take my word for it. Just go get the nibble box and then enjoy. Best chicken. Best chips, and also best chicken salt imo.”
