The customer service was awesome as well. Definitely liked the quiet atmosphere, they had some gentle music playing so it felt like a relaxing morning. “Awesome very friendly great food and coffee we can from Australia for it”
“Wow, the food here was top notch I had the big brekkie (with creamy mushrooms) and my wife had the (half) eggs bene. We absolutely loved them! (PS the photo I took of the big brekkie had one sausage already eaten and half the rosti had been given to my wife, so didn't look as good as it could have).”

“Caesar salad was so fresh and DELICIOUS especially with the option of chicken -much more filling. My partner ordered the BLAT and they catered to his dietary requirements without a fuss. Staff are lovely and the area is vibrant.”

“Looking for a breakfast place around takapuna after a pedia visit and tried Leaf & Loaf. Overall experience is excellent and lively, friendly staff. My fussy little one loved the blueberry pancakes. The rest of the food are awesome. Though I prefer boiling hot coffee but with the weather, it's acceptable food gets a little cold quicker. Highly recommend this place.”
“These guys do great pies & is a very popular spot with the locals. Their Jalapeno steak & cheese was awesome, just the right amount of kick to it.”
“Great little find. Friendly staff and great food. Loved all the lego models in the Cafe! Kids and adults both.”
“An amazing tasty lunch today at Ruby’s. I noticed it seemed like the whole place had improved . . . new outside tables, it felt clean, and the menu had changed. Then I was told it was fairly new ownership which made perfect sense. We sat outside on a beautiful Welly sunny day under an umbrella with my well behaved little dog. The lovely lady that has just moved down from Auckland was so helpful and friendly. She brought a bowl of water out for my dog straight away. Highly recommend, a happy experience with well priced super tasty food . . . you really can’t ask for much more than this ☺️”
“Great cafe. Ordered the new menu item, which was a fried chicken burger, which was absolutely delicious. The chips were also seasoned really nicely. Also had a great convienent location at the garden center. Will definitely come back!”
“Cafe Edge is a good place to stop for a coffee and a quick bite to eat. It has a quiet atmosphere and you don't feel rushed at all. The staff are all nice and also patient. I would recommend visiting. Thank you and I appreciate everyone working there.”
“Nice coffee and breakfast with a great view of passing trams. Just watch out for the cheeky birds eyeing your food!”
“Very warm and welcoming place. It is what one would imagine as a place to eat while thinking about a village or a small town like Lincoln. The food is good. I had so many good memories about this place. On a cold and windy day getting a coffee for myself and hot chocolate for my kids. On Friday after long and exhausting week lunch coffee with a pie. And today with all the rain we get at the moment delicious spicy pumpkin soup was the most appreciated thing for me and my wife.”
“Friendly staff, huge variety, lovely meal, so reasonable. We had the scotch filet delicious and cooked believe it or not the way I liked, medium rare. Beautiful garlic butter. We even had raw fish for entre, what a surprise. So sole so nice. Also had great coffee. We were too full to have our strawberry sponge cake so took it home. But so sure it would be yum. Go try it, they also do roast meals.”
“Chill place with delicious sausage rolls and pies”
“Food selection was great, way more options than the other branches.”
Sidetrack cafe keeps things coffee‑and‑cabinet and focused on flavour. Morning service moves at a steady clip. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy. Portions are generous yet well judged.
