Popped by majestic cafe in the mall and not only is the coffee good but the lady that served me actually made my morning. Made me feel seen, heard and valued as a customer. The difference between me going to a different cafe and majestic will be that kind of service experience. That double shot really got me going for the day haha bless”

“I really enjoy coming here whenever I’m craving something delicious and hot. The staff are always incredibly friendly, welcoming, and smiling when taking orders. The whole environment feels warm, inviting, and just genuinely nice to be around. The food is amazing — full of rich, complex flavours that tick every box for me. The waitresses are super kind, and even the chefs always smile and wave at customers from my experience. For the quality you get, the price is absolutely perfect. Highly recommend!”

“Huge range of food and was tasty considering a buffet. They made fresh garlic naan bread and served to our table. I personally enjoyed the starters like tandoori chicken, lollipops, veg manchurian, paani puri and samosa chat was my favorite. And great variety of desert to end the feast. We will be back again. “I stopped by Coffee Culture at lunchtime for a mocha latte, and it’s the best I’ve had so far in Christchurch! I’ve been hooked on mocha drinks ever since a tea-tasting ceremony in Japan, where I had the most unforgettable mocha. The mocha latte here had a well-balanced portion of tea powder, delivering a pure, smooth, and hearty taste—perfect for colder weather. However, the mocha powder didn’t fully dissolve, which was a bit disappointing—definitely could use a better tea whisk. The customer service was fantastic! The staff were super friendly, and I was especially impressed by the person taking orders—patient, welcoming, and greeting everyone with a warm smile. The café is also in a great spot, surrounded by a variety of stores, making it a convenient and enjoyable place to visit. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area!”

“We had the most amazing time here and didn’t want to leave! Perfect location just a bus ride into the city which leaves from outside. The room was perfect exactly what we needed and the bed was so comfortable. The food in the restaurant/bar was amazing and extra points for the good Guiness which my partner said was the best one he’s had in New Zealand!! Top class service and hospitality, shoutout to the manager who really engaged with us throughout our trip and who was always up for a chat, he took care of everything we needed throughout our trip and made us feel so welcome. Would definitely recommend staying here to everyone traveling to Christchurch and would love to return again.”

I don't know what this is called, but definitely give it a try, it's some sort of deep fried bread stick wrapped in rice noodle sheet (I think) - whoever invented this is genius.”

“Best Fish & Chip shop in city. Heaps of Chinese options, along with the standard Fish n Chips. Phone your order in, and will be ready on arrival. Best value portions I've ever found anywhere - always heaps of food, and always sooooo tasty and fresh. It's a takeaway shop, and pretty basic decor etc, but don't let that put you off. We go at least once a month, and wouldn't go anywhere else. 2 Fish, 1 scoop chips costs around $13/$14 - don't order extra chips as you wont get through them there's so much provided in a scoop.”

“Woah...portions are BIG....ribs were really nice and if you are not too hungry, maybe a starter portion is sufficient. their burger was also super, and beer to go with it. all good. Just be careful though if u are ordering sides, be clear what you ordered and how much extra it will cost. I ordered a side I thought came with the main course and ended up paying close to $10 for the side.”
