“Sad to hear they had to move from their last place due to lease not renewed. Property sold to a petrol company..100 years of this wonderful business and kicked out to another site. Council should be kicked for not supporting this local business. Ice cream is top quality and unique taste. The gardens and setting was something my family and others have come for this wonderful delight. Not the same in shipping containers. Hope sanity prevails and a better site is permanent and lasting. Bring back the ponds and gardens and decor and icecream sundaes with malt and double chocolate and nuts..”

At The Gintrap Restaurant & Bar, the menu stays classic fish-and-chips, served with an easygoing pace. Outdoors works well when the weather plays along. Easy to carry out for a simple night in. Cakes and scoops finish things neatly.

“Helped me pick out a suit for my ball. left it a bit late and most sizes for parts of my suit i wanted were sold out. However, Chris i think his name was, helped me find the right size and ordered these for me with no hesitation. With his help, i felt really relieved and that maybe the ball wouldn't be a disaster after all. Shipping of my desired suit was only 2-3 days which was very fast. “We wanted a clamshell opening backpack to use for carry-on luggage, Garrett talked us through the features of the pack. The price was more than we intended to pay having seen similar in a competitors store online. We then went to the competitors store intending to purchase the pack but the staff ignored us (we were the only ones in the store and it was pretty obvious we were intending to buy since we'd pulled several packs from the shelves). We went back to Garrett and bought from him - why? Cos he acknowledged us, talked freely with us to assess our needs and showed us our choices all with a smile on his face. “Always a clean and presentable supermarket like most new worlds, however personally I've not yet come across a new world that makes pies like the supermarket. -Gourmet steak and blue vein pie 9.2/10 Very suprised this hasn't won any awards. They dont spare it on the blue vein, and steak peices are very high quality. If you love blue vein cheese, you'll love this. - Steak, bacon, and cheese pie 8.6/10 All aspects of this pie are on point. Would have been higher if it was the same.shape as the steak and blue vein. However, it's still a great pie.”

“A surreal experience! I would not have thought it possible to get a new roof on my bach so quickly. From first contact by phone to paying the final amount was a little over three weeks! From the first contact a quote was organised in about 4 days (and over a weekend). 4 Dec. quote received via email then discussion of details and colour; 5 Dec. advised “coil already on its way from Rotorua”; 6 Dec. deposit paid; a bit of time required for scaffolder but this was in place when I travelled up from Wellington on 14 Dec.; 19 Dec. returned home after job substantially completed day or two before (except barge flashings); 22 Dec. job complete and final payment made. Wow! My thanks to Stratco, the boys who did the installation, and especially Matt who took the time to carefully answer my many questions. Admittedly my bach roof was a relatively simple job, and I was lucky to catch a “window of opportunity”, but I was impressed by how Stratco “turned up the wick” to get it done before Xmas.”
