Wife + Daughters loved the place and declared it a new favourite. I also enjoyed the food as well but not as immensely as they. The reason is because while the food is very high quality and delicious, I personally found it a little (just a tiny bit) watered down to cater for western tastes. I am not saying it is not authentic, just not quite as layered in its flavouring as you find in some other Chinese restaurants. If you look at the photos you will see that the food is high quality, but you can also probably also tell it is lightly flavoured. The only chilli sauce offered is a sweet chilli sauce that looks just like what you get from a bottle at home. I asked for some chilli oil and got some, but it was fairly bland. Edit: I have since done my research on Shanghai style cooking which apparently has an emphasis on sweetness, lightness, and freshness. So my comments on 'watered down' may be awry, it may simply be that I prefer a more robust regional style of Chinese cooking and this restaurant is offering a genuinely Shanghai style. This style may be influenced by the 100+ years Shanghai was a western entrepot to China.”

They cost me $25, which was reasonable given the amount I got (the gap in pic was because we'd indulged before snapping the pic).
