We've been here a few times now. It's a chill vibe, clean surroundings with consistent quality and service. There are your fav small plates, grill plate dishes and a selection of bento boxes. If your looking for home cooked Japanese vibe, this is the place.
This place is closed Sunday! But at our last visit the food was incredible! The atmosphere was true Japanese including the decor. Is was simple and the food was tops!

We have dined in most restaurants in Hamilton and tonight we dined at Shinjuku and it is a 10/10 rating from us. The food is authentic and superbly cooked. All 6 dishes that we had were exquisitive and could not be faulted. Small quiet restaurant, service was outstanding, and we talked to the elderly owner who is also the chef and we knew instantly that his cooking skills were masterful, hence the extraordinary food. There was only 1 dessert on the menu, but you didnt need any other choices, because the fried banana with green tea ice cream was amazing! Try it, you wont be disappointed! The owners of the restaurant are an elderly couple cook every dish. It's a bit of a wait, but the taste is worth it. Their fried food is so authentic that it's definitely worth trying
