   Food was absolutely 10/10 — no complaints at all. But the packaging really needs attention. My order was given in a recycled drinks carton, which isn’t food-grade and doesn’t look professional. It also soaked up the oil. I’m only mentioning this because the food deserves better presentation, and proper takeaway packaging is important for hygiene and customer experience. Fix the packaging and you’ve got a perfect 5-star place.

   I recently moved from Auckland to Hamilton and, as a foodie who loves Indian cuisine, I’ve been searching for great Indian restaurants here. After trying a few, this place stands out as the best so far. In fact, even compared with popular Indian restaurants in Parnell and Ponsonby, the taste, portion sizes, and service here are far superior and at a much lower price. We ordered butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, chicken vindaloo, chicken tandoori, and garlic naan. Every dish was excellent. The naan was freshly made to order, crisp and flavourful. Watching the chef at work, you can see his experience and professionalism shine through. It was such a pleasant surprise to discover food of this standard in a small restaurant on an ordinary street. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Indian food with generous portions and great value. I’ll definitely be a regular.

   Hidden away in a quiet suburban road you'll find the best family owned Indian food in Hamilton! We drive 20 minutes from the other end of Hamilton to dine here. Food is exceptional and the owners are super friendly. Perfect for takeaways or to go with family or close friends.
