“Went to Sal's the other week with my family and it really is just an honest to goodness pizza place. Great food, fair price, and generally just a good experience. The staff were friendly and really patient with us when we stumbled on our order a bunch. Personally I'm a huge fan of the general vibe and aesthetic of the place, somehow it adds to the flavour- all in all it's a place I'm keen to eat at some other time that I'm in town! I mean the half and half pizza alone is SO worth it.”

“If you love a bowl of Ramen anytime day or night. This is the place for you. The ramen here is delicious. I would highly recommend it. The noodle is thin and the soup is rich. Get the extra akadare as it adds to the teste.”

“Haven’t been for a while but popped in for lunch with a couple of colleagues. The service was great - wait staff were very attentive and pleasant (they actually smiled - you don’t always get that these days). The meals themselves exceeded my expectations, both in flavour and size. There was also no issue with a small meal alteration I had. And I had an almond hot chocolate (which can sometimes be a bit hit-or-miss depending where you go) but it was nice and hot, and absolutely delicious… 10/10”

“Good portion, good flavour, absolutely value for the money. The service is very quick too. Two dishes with rice would serve 3-4 people. It’s a great place for family lunch or dinner. They also have roast duck as well. I highly recommend this place.”

“Never disappointed at Gulmohar. They have great lunch deals too. We were given a choc naan dessert to try, and it is worth it. Authentic Indian dishes, not sweet like other restaurants do to make it suitable for the NZ pallete. Been going here for atleast 8 years.”

“Might have already posted a review, apologies if I have. It's unlikely to be much different if I did though. I've been going to Curry King for longer than the current owners have been there, longer than the current name... at least sixteen years. Occasionally as much as twice a month, but more usually probably about once every three months or so. If I ever win lotto it'd be a lot more though! I can still honestly say it's my favourite Indian restaurant in Hamilton, and also that they have NEVER disappointed us. At WORST, we've tried a new dish that sounded great, and tasted pretty good, but turned out not to be quite what we felt like having after all. So more of 'an us problem' for sure. I now can't bring myself to eat Indian at a mall foodcourt because I know it'll only disappoint me after knowing Curry King quality. Guaranteed to make me hungry if I think about it for too long. Like now, dammit.”
