“Has to be the best Thai Restsurant in Christchurch .Food is the freshest and cooked to perfection. The restaurant is warm and beautifully presented. We would live to eat every night here. The food is presented amazingly. I recommend this place 100 per Noxcent. Thanks”
“We were warmly greeted on arrival and this set the tone for the rest of the evening. The food was outstanding, we shared 4 plates - the asparagus, the venison tataki, the lamb and the potatoes. Each plate was generous and beautifully presented. There was obviously a lot of love and care taking place in the kitchen, and we certainly benefitted! Overall a 5 star experience.”
“Tasty comfy in big portion fresh sashimi. Also surprised with their sizzling lamb. It was perfectly cook soooo juicy and tanky and don't forget to order their desert!”
“Sakura is a real “cherry” treasure well hidden inside Asian Mall. When we first found it, we couldn’t believe our luck. Small , family run Japanese restaurant with amazing options of both vegan and not vegan food. Our favourites are Agedashi Tofu, veggie tempura and seaweed salad which is must try ! There are some choices of sushi including vegetarian but if you ask they make it vegan. Plenty of choice of Sake as well for connoisseur of that drink. Staff is always nice and friendly and very polite. Since tables are limited booking is recommended especially on weekends as place is always packed. Sakura is No. 1 Japanese restaurant in town without doubt!”
“Ate here for my birthday and the Lamb Dhansack, Chicken Sagwala and Keema nans were outstanding. Some of the best Curry I have eaten and I have had curries in many countries. Great service too, keep up the good work”
“Great food and even better service! The staff were kind and helpful, and the meals were fresh and delicious. A wonderful place to eat — highly recommend!”
“My son and his family lives in Christchurch and he's been talking about this Afgan place and would take us there if we're in Christchurch. A must-try spot in Christchurch! There’s no menu—just walk in and let them know how many people are dining or ordering takeaway. They usually open around 5:30 p.m., and there’s always a long line, so give yourself extra time. The food is simple but absolutely delicious—choose chicken, lamb, or a mix, served with tasty rice and curry. It’s great value for money and always consistent. We ordered 3 servings for 5 people, and it was more than enough. Don’t expect a typical restaurant setup. You get your own drinks, plates, and cutlery. If you're dining in, you can skip the takeaway queue—just find a seat and order at the counter. We always get an extra serving to enjoy for lunch the next day. Tip: Join their Facebook group to check if they’re open. Long wait, but totally worth it!”
“We are here for my father’s birthday, brought a home-made cake. The friendly staff gave us candles and offered to put cake inside the fridge for us, that’s really lovely. Also introduced the food to us. And food is very good and special! Highly recommended”

“Top notch delicious food, fast service and lovely restaurant, Rangiora's best kept secret!”
“This is our now 'go to' for a takeaway since the closure of our previous favourite in Timaru. The choices and quality of food is excellent and staff are pleasant and friendly. Certainly worth our 25 km trip for that night off from cooking and all those special occasions when you treat the family.”
“Amazing food, great service and so affordable. A really great dining experience. Interesting chat with the tutors of the students too. They are doing great work. Well done everyone!”
“Have experienced super good service here! The staff are always friendly and I’ve often been given a complimentary drink, which is such a nice touch. I usually get delivery or pick-up rather than dining in, and it’s always been super fast and ready when I arrive. Portion sizes are generous, the food is always delicious, and they consistently have great deals available online. I even took my grandparents here once, and now they’re huge Thai fans too! Definitely one of my go-to spots & would highly recommend!”
“Very flavoursome well presented and friendly service. Table for 8 and all enjoyed their meals. Highly recommended, easy parking. Will return for sure.”
“Very authentic Thai food! Recommend the green curry and the beef salad. Great service as well. Saw that they have Thai green iced tea. Might try next time.”
“Five-star service! The atmosphere here is perfect—very relaxing with cozy music and a nice interior. I was particularly impressed by Lois Law. She went above and beyond by helping me secure a booking early and provided excellent recommendations. Her friendly and kind nature really stands out. I’ll be returning soon for sure!”
“Had the most amazing experience at Clink Restaurant in Sumner! The food, drinks, and service were all outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. They were so accommodating with gluten-free options, which made dining there completely stress-free. It was such a hit from start to finish. We all can’t wait to go back!”
“A peaceful and elegant oasis in the middle of Christchurch. Staffed by sophisticated gentlemen and beautiful women dressed in traditional sarees and the gift shop is like a Christmas tree. Tried their burger, masala chai, chef special and delicious chocolate cake. One of the best meals we’ve had.”
“We went for dinner. The food was excellent, the staff very friendly, and the price-quality ratio was more than fair. We ate chicken tikka as an entrée, the main dishes were lamb rogan josh and chicken kadai, and the chosen breads were keema naan and onion kulcha. Everything was so delicious! We will be back for more. Thanks, guys!”
“If you want good, well priced Indian food. This is your place. Lunch deals great value”
“Always good to find a good curry. Have been told to try it many a time and no regrets. Great food and service. Will definitely go again as being english always good to find a good curry even if its a bit out of the way”
“My wife and I went for dinner on our anniversary and I have to say, Mr. fussy here was very impressed. I had the Village Style Kleftiko and my wife had the Canterbury Lamb Platter, wow, I mean far out. The Kleftiko was absolutely stunning, so full of flavour and fall apart melt in your mouth chunks of lamb, we of course sampled each others and my wife's was stunning as well, she concurred. Of course we had to have dessert and this is what sets Costas apart from every other dinning experience I've ever had. You've just had a beautiful main and in our case an entre not to mention a couple of wines and you're beginning to feel a bit full but you'd like a dessert, something sweet to finish things off. Enter Costas mini desserts, what a brilliant idea, you don't have to pay the full price of a dessert and its just enough so you're not left with that I ate too much feeling. I had the Baklava Ice Cream and my wife had the Chocolate Mousse, both excellent. All in all, a fantastic experience, beautiful food, great atmosphere and good service. Highly recommend Costas, can't wait to go back.”
“Fantastic food, great pricing, the chilli oil is the best, top tip is to see if they are open before you venture out as the shop hours/days are a little random compared to usual restaurants, but well worth it..”
“A wonderful evening experiencing a collab with visiting chef Julian from Melbourne’s Navi! Simon and the team put on an incredible menu and as always a wonderful show watching the industry’s best dance around the kitchen delivering perfection and world class service.”
The kitchen at Ye-chon Korean Restaurant takes a pan‑Asian comfort path and lets the food speak. Value feels fair for the quality. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy. Orders move at a steady pace.
Formaggio’s Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria delivers a pizza‑first line‑up that’s straight to the point. Gluten‑free needs are handled with care. Music and pace keep a casual tone. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy.
“Great food and great people. The staff is always friendly and attentive and the multiple times I have been here the food was never meh. Always a great quality and taste and I like that they regularly vary the menu slightly. Our go to place in Rolly! The atmosphere is elevated pub-restaurant. A few interior design changes and lighting changes to break up the wide open room a bit, could make it feel a bit more cozy. It is still a great atmosphere and feel good restaurant.”
“Great food, great service and very clean! We eat here regularly and are always made to feel welcomed and that our business matters! Food is outstanding too! we’ll be back:)”
