“Ok, this place is just heaven on earth. I can't recommend it enough. The food is divine. I mean heavenly off the charts delicious. They have a seafood chowder to rave and remember. All ingredients were fresh and the seasoning just perfect. The place is simple and doesn't look like much, but it really is a must for the soul. Great selection of wines for a cafe. We had the beef casserole and spicy prawns with some house cocktails and even the chicken sandwich was to die for. Sabina is the most delightful and charismatic woman. Her warm and caring hospitality were truly memorable. We sure hope she comes visit us to Mexico. She freely and thoughtfully shared her advice about travelling around NZ. Honestly, we would dine here if we lived in NZ. The flavours will live in our memory forever. Thank you for a great experience”

“This lil chinese boy served me and he was a friendly fella asked me about my day and had great customer service!!!! good kumara chips, good fish, good hot dog, good jam rap, good onion rings, good nuggets, good deep fried mussels, good blue cod!!! fed a familty of 25. my baby boy enjoyed the choc donut very much had to go back twice in one week. PLEASE COME HERE”

“As a local we are spoilt for choice, awesome bakery, Indian ,chinese and the best rice balls period. But once a week or so i get my regular large mixed meat on salad with Aioli and sweet chilli sauce, pita bread on the side. Perfect, i phone in and its ready when they said , especially love the salad strangely, they ask, but i say all salads. I recommend”

“Outstanding customer service, friendly, staff followed through with my complicated order. Then to our surprise we were overwhelmed with the attention to detail. I personally loved the micro greens and swirl of beetroot for presentation. All three of us gave five stars for the size and taste of our brunch. Coming from Christchurch for the short drive was well worth it. You won’t be disappointed!”

“Pioneer moved my household items from CHCH to Marlborough Sounds, December 2019. It was a tricky move in that there was boat access only and a steep hill up to the new house. Justin and his crew were pros the whole way from quoting right to the end of the job. Justin knows his crew and his vehicles well, knew how to protect my gear from damage and was well organised. His moving crew were friendly, fit and pros at moving the gear around. I appreciated Pioneer's work as it took a lot of stress out of what was already a stressful time (Xmas and moving house!). I had 2 other companies come up and quote but it was obvious they didn't understand the job and totally over complicated it....not to mention they were far more expensive too.”

Would be good if they increased their range of light wines. Very competitive in pricing and often undercuts supermarkets for beer. Close with wine.”

“I see the modest rating on this place and I have to intervene. This is among the best Thai food that I have eaten in New Zealand and in my travels in the world. The curry gravies are rich and thick and full of flavor. The rice is perfectly done. The roti is perfectly done. I've been able to taste several dishes because I've had an extended stay in this area, and also many people staying here with me have also returned again and again to this restaurant. “Great Thai restaurant in the Brighton beach centre. Near to the pier and the library. Foods are extremely authentic and the spicy dish salad are Thai spicy so make sure you are use to hot hot chili otherwise go for mild or no chili option. I loved the green curry and few other dishes. The owner are very hard working and loved her traditional dress too. Is definitely a good Thai restaurant in Christchurch that offer a taste of Thailand.”

“My first visit for Teppanyaki. We tried the all you can eat option. Though this menu is more simple foods in an all you can eat style, it didn't disappoint. The entree board with sushi and chicken was particularly enjoyable given the fresh and crisp contrasts. They have a Japanese version of an espresso martini with Baileys which was very good.”
