You can fish with the lake being stocked with fish ( just check there is not any current restrictions due to chemical spraying) There's two playgrounds and hire boats on a boating lake. Lots of ducks and even spotted an eel to feed”

“I can’t recommend the lead climbing course with Will highly enough. I’d done the course before and the instructor was really knowledgeable, but found the information a bit overwhelming. This time, Will paced the learning really well and gave us heaps of hands-on practice, which made all the difference. By the time we made it onto the crag at the end of the second course, we all felt confident, safe, and comfortable lead climbing and cleaning. Will’s a fantastic instructor—friendly, fun, and incredibly knowledgeable—but what stood out most was his ability to teach in a way that supports genuine understanding and long-term retention. He doesn’t just tell you what to do—he helps you understand why you're doing it, which made everything click. Loved it from start to finish and would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting to build solid skills and confidence in the centre as well as on the rock.”

There are sheltered benches to rest and a drinking fountain. Plenty of parking in the carpark. Location is great, just opposite the aquatic centre so we usually pop over for a swim after a play. Toilets are a few mins walk away, not very close.”

“A nice park not far from Northlands Mall. Two small main entrances that are quite narrow making you believe its just a small park. However they lead out to a large open grass area. Its also nice that there are quite a lot of trees surrounding the open grass area, more so than most parks. There is a medium sized playground located near one of the entrances on St James Ave. Overall a very nice park.”
