My usual go-to theatre is Event Cinema's gold class, but after seeing ads for the Silky Otter I decided to give it a try, and honestly? Kinda mid. Tickets are marginally cheaper than gold class, but the cinemas are smaller and have more people crammed in. Sound and picture is worse, and reclining functions didn't work on one of our seats. Food is cheaper than gold class, but the portions are much, much smaller. Gold class meals arrive on plates and platters with proper cutlery, but at silky otter some dude just walks into the cinema and hands you a cardboard takeaway box with some disposable cutlery. Parking lot has a 2 hour time limit. Staff said that nobody ever really gets parking tickets, which is not a good response. I fell for the marketing. This is not a boutique cinema. It is a normal cinema with reclining seats.

At silky otter last night. Good theatre BUT in spite of advising patrons via "Morgan" adverts that blankets were available if you were cold, there were none as they were at the dry cleaners and belive me, the cinema was cold n did not heat up in spite of being advised once everyone was seated, it would. Why does the cinema have to be so cold? Also advised was a small light for convenience to see where food etc was, don't think they are installed at the Oraki one. If you are going to advertise the perks, it would be good to have them available for use.

I am a local and this Silky Otter is our go to for a night at the movies. Normally I would rate Silky much higher, but tonight my wife and I attended a 6pm sitting of the Naked Gun and the food we ordered arrived about 15 minutes before the end of the movie. We were still eating our pizza and chicken wings when the credits started rolling. Also we got no lights which used to or usually comes with food and allows you to see what you are eating. Not your best work tonight team!

Great Cinema. Friendly and Professional staff, cozy blankets, comfortable large seats, and good food and drink. Everything you need in the modern cinema experience. I'm Commander Burcher and this is my favourite cinema on the Citadel.

This is the ONLY cinema I want to visit. Great selection of films. Super comfortable layback chairs and small theatres. Easy free parking outside the door. The popcorn is always fresh and tasty. You can spoil yourself with a glass of beer or wine and the icecreams are delicious. Online booking is easy and informative and you can pick your own seat. The staff are super friendly and manage the rush for each session efficiently.

Watched Mission Impossible 7 here, last tickets were front row, it was actually the best place to watch it, nice small-medium sized room, incredibly comfortable recliners, classy coke cottled, pizzas delivered to your seat and reasonably priced tickets. Outstanding cinema experience!

First time here and really disappointed. The place was really grubby, even the walls are dusty (highlighted by the wall lights) in reception/lobby area. Reception seats were really grim and looked like dogs had been sitting on them all day. Food leaves much to be desired. My partner found a hair in his pizza. Only saving grace was the comfy seats and it was a good temperature. Updated 04.06 - I still havenβt received a response to either of the 2 emails that I sent to the email address that was commented below.

My best cinema experience in years as a cinephile. Avatar 2 in 3D was highly recommended. Will visit again.

Very nice welcome and personal attention given. Cinema 2 afforded nice spacious seating and lazyboy style leg rests. Great views from the deck and a lift for those unable to manage 4 flights of steps!
