“If this rating system would allow me to go higher I would. Excellent service, amazing coffee and superb food. There’s no full menu but with a cabinet packed with choices, you’re sure not to notice. Staff are friendly and attentive. The decor is very tasteful and made us feel as though we were at home.”

“Ordered the Great Big Breakfast for brunch today. Definitely hit the spot, satisfying my hunger pains after a big gym session. Scrambled eggs (extra eggs) cooked to perfection. Breakfast sausage full of flavor, hash brown golden and crunchy. Bacon cooked just right. Staff very friendly and welcoming. The Cafe had a nice warm and homely vibe. Definitely recommend this place if your looking for somewhere nice to eat.”

“A gem of a place, super delicious coffee and incredible cakes and pastries, we wanted to try everything and got a few different bits but the caramel, pear and walnut tart was a definite stand out. We sat outside with Gus the dog and he very much enjoyed it and was very spoilt. Lovely owners and so welcoming and friendly. Thank you for having us, we will be back!”

“I recently visited Neil Cafe and bar and was truly impressed by the outstanding quality of my meal also a very reasonable price especially considering the quality of the ingredients. I had a slow cooked pork belly on mash with fresh salad. The meal was very generous in size and I was sorry when I had finished despite being unable to eat anything else cos I was very full! Seriously it's my favorite place to eat now.”

“What a wonderful place! Their restaurant food is amazing, with great portion sizes! Out of all 4 pictured meals, I can’t say I have a favourite because they were all great. They also have a great selection of cabinet food. The restaurant and cabinet food is naturally a little bit pricey but I am definitely not complaining! The only thing for me was that the iced matcha was very watered down with milk, and therefore was very milky which wasn’t the best. Also all the menus online need updating! They’re really busy most of the time (we were booked in at 11am) and the wait time for our meals and drink took about an hour, but they have a sign outside warning you about the wait time during peak hours. Their service is also really good, most especially from Mike who is just lovely and extremely friendly, and Julian who is nice also very friendly. Do I even have to talk about the atmosphere? I would especially recommend booking a table outside for a nice view out back. The cafe is situated right in the park in a beautiful Homestead and has a lovely little art gallery and shop. I would 100% recommend coming here!”

“The burger you’ll get at Cafe Mocha is the greatest you’ll eat in your whole life. The patty seems to be homemade and delicious, and the bun is perfectly toasted but still fresh and soft. The lady that always serves at the counter is an absolute gem.”

“This place serves Western food and drinks as well as Vietnamese dishes with northern Vietnamese flavors. The food here suits my taste. Delicious! The drinks are also great. They decorate the cozy space, look neat and clean. Friendly and helpful service. Thank you! I will be back.”

“Fantastic little cafe with delicious cabinet and menu options! Tried the matcha strawberry latte, early grey basque cheesecake, and the HK French toast. All were delicious and drool worthy. They look AND taste amazing (which can be hard to find). Really want to go again to try more of their menu! The staff and owners are very warm, welcoming, friendly and cheerful. There were so many locals that swung by for their usual orders and the team were tuned in. Knew the regular orders, continued conversations from when they last saw them, so just some really genuine people. Also dog friendly, which is my personal favourite point!”

“The real thing! Davenport deli cafe is unpretentious but feels like an old Europe cafe. The coffee (latte in a glass) was exquisite and the blueberry cheese cake one of the best I've had - Vienna move over! The setting across from the art deco Devonia bldg with a choice of sidewalk or breezy inside seating adds to the experience. Head for the cafe as soon as you get off the ferry; a three minute walk. Oh I also picked up a frittata to take away - two kinds available: ham or veggie great value or try the quiche: spinach + feta or bacon and egg.”

New offerings which imply Grandy’s is customer first and they revel in seeing joy and engagement from their customers. The 2 new offerings that I tried were the Creamy Miso Udon and Chicken Katsu Sando and they were both full of flavour and taste. The atmosphere is chill and relaxed. “While out and about in South Auckland, we stumbled upon The Alexander Cafe, a hidden gem tucked away in an industrial-style area of Ōtara. From the outside, it’s unassuming, but step inside, and you’ll find a relaxed, welcoming spot that’s perfect for a coffee break. We only had time for drinks, but they did not disappoint. We ordered an Iced Coffee with caramel syrup (no cream) and a Dirty Chai (chai with a shot of espresso) — both were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was laid-back, with great music that made it easy to unwind. There’s plenty of seating inside, plus outdoor options for those who prefer fresh air. The menu offers a great selection of food, with a well-stocked cabinet of tempting bites. Whether you're a local or just passing through, The Alexander Cafe is definitely worth a visit!”
