“I recently visited Neil Cafe and bar and was truly impressed by the outstanding quality of my meal also a very reasonable price especially considering the quality of the ingredients. I had a slow cooked pork belly on mash with fresh salad. The meal was very generous in size and I was sorry when I had finished despite being unable to eat anything else cos I was very full! Seriously it's my favorite place to eat now.”

“Amazing staff and amazing coffees. I went in with my team’s orders, about 8 coffees and other sweet treats. They whipped up the coffee order in minutes. And the cabinet food was delicious. “Had the big brekkie and my partner had the eggs on toast. Both were absolutely delicious. The baked beans that came with the big brekkie were particularly phenomenal. Matcha Latte here was great too. Great service, fast and all staff were very friendly. Also great pricing. Will definitely be back. My new brunch spot for sure!”

“What a wonderful place! Their restaurant food is amazing, with great portion sizes! Out of all 4 pictured meals, I can’t say I have a favourite because they were all great. They also have a great selection of cabinet food. The restaurant and cabinet food is naturally a little bit pricey but I am definitely not complaining! The only thing for me was that the iced matcha was very watered down with milk, and therefore was very milky which wasn’t the best. Also all the menus online need updating! They’re really busy most of the time (we were booked in at 11am) and the wait time for our meals and drink took about an hour, but they have a sign outside warning you about the wait time during peak hours. Their service is also really good, most especially from Mike who is just lovely and extremely friendly, and Julian who is nice also very friendly. Do I even have to talk about the atmosphere? I would especially recommend booking a table outside for a nice view out back. The cafe is situated right in the park in a beautiful Homestead and has a lovely little art gallery and shop. I would 100% recommend coming here!”

“A café with plenty of seating. The environment is very clean, and the staff are friendly. The freshly made food is delicious, especially the sandwich bread, which is said to be freshly made in-house every day. The coffee is rich and aromatic.”

“Good authentic Spanish food. We enjoyed the rich flavours in the Squid dish - main sized. Really good - recommended! The paella was rich and delicious, full of seafood and great flavours. Large serve. Good garlic and cheese bread pizza. Leafy salad with olives and feta good too! Cheap drink 3pm - 6pm 8$ wines and beers Enjoyed the Seaview from a table near the front of the restaurant. Only downside was the tables are very close - so the conversation of you and your neighbours are not private…”

“While out and about in South Auckland, we stumbled upon The Alexander Cafe, a hidden gem tucked away in an industrial-style area of Ōtara. From the outside, it’s unassuming, but step inside, and you’ll find a relaxed, welcoming spot that’s perfect for a coffee break. We only had time for drinks, but they did not disappoint. We ordered an Iced Coffee with caramel syrup (no cream) and a Dirty Chai (chai with a shot of espresso) — both were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was laid-back, with great music that made it easy to unwind. There’s plenty of seating inside, plus outdoor options for those who prefer fresh air. The menu offers a great selection of food, with a well-stocked cabinet of tempting bites. Whether you're a local or just passing through, The Alexander Cafe is definitely worth a visit!”

“Photo doesn’t do justice. These scones were life changing lol. Sweet and one savoury. When I think of scones I think of hard dry tasteless things with butter to make it nice lol but these were so good, crispy and so balanced with the ratios of everything eg their sauces etc…Also had a smoothie and it was honestly so amazing. It was the peach and coconut. Will be coming here a lot now that I know about it!! Addictive!”

“There is no cafe in Auckland that can compete with these views. This is the best. We hadn't heard of it but B Cafe came up in a search for 'quiet, relaxing' cafe and it delivered on that in spades. Great coffee, delicious food and lovely owner. You should go here.”

“The burger you’ll get at Cafe Mocha is the greatest you’ll eat in your whole life. The patty seems to be homemade and delicious, and the bun is perfectly toasted but still fresh and soft. The lady that always serves at the counter is an absolute gem.”

“What a lovely surprise as the outside is so unassuming. Comfy atmosphere with gentle background music. The food is YUM!!. We had BLT and French Toast, hot chocolate and coffee. Beautiful presentation matched the great taste. The cabinet food looks devine, will need to come back for that.”

“Delicious big breakfast! Possibly the best I’ve had on the shore! It came with everything I’d want on a breakfast with homemade baked beans, a potato rosti, perfectly cooked eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tasty sausages and just overall amazing! My friend got the smashed avomamae, panna cotta muesli and orange juice which came together as one dish, for anybody who can’t decide between sweet and savoury! Would definitely recommend KARA! Friendly table service!”
