The real thing! Davenport deli cafe is unpretentious but feels like an old Europe cafe. The coffee (latte in a glass) was exquisite and the blueberry cheese cake one of the best I've had - Vienna move over! The setting across from the art deco Devonia bldg with a choice of sidewalk or breezy inside seating adds to the experience. Head for the cafe as soon as you get off the ferry; a three minute walk. Oh I also picked up a frittata to take away - two kinds available: ham or veggie great value or try the quiche: spinach + feta or bacon and egg.
Travelled over from West Auckland today and popped in for a coffee at this lovely little cafe in Devonport. Great service, great coffee, and beautiful drawing on my coffee from the talented barista along with a free slice of yummy brownie! All for a very reasonable price. Much appreciated and I will definitely be returning next time I'm in Devonport :-) Thanks so much for a great experience!
I travel regularly for work and the Devonport Deli Cafe has been a regular breakfast and lunch spot. I am gluten free and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable in understanding this. The managers and their team are amazing and always welcoming!
We visited late in the afternoon and were rewarded with a great selection of very yummy food options; generous sized portions and all well-priced. Service was friendly and the location convenient. We would definitely return. Well done Devonport Deli!
Superb hot chocolate with very tasty brownie bites included. The spinach quiche was fantastic as well. And everything is a fraction of the price of what you'll pay down at the wharf. Only 2-3 mins walk from the wharf itself. Highly recommended.
Super cute cafe in Devonport near the mount ambience is not Insta worthy but you don’t go for that. Opens early, good customer service. Food is affordable and quality. All the drinks come with a mini chocolate brownie (a nice surprise). Can’t find another cafe with this price point.
