βSuper local Thanks for the infoβ
βLooks like a great place nice and cleanβ
βThe host is very kind, the room is very warm, but it is not easy to find, you need to take Uber, but it is very close to the airport, there are few shops nearby, and you have to go farther to get something to eatβ
βWe had a fantastic stay here. The relaxed old house charm is a nice change from corporate hostel chains (which I frequently also use). We also met some really nice people staying here - it attracts a nice, laid back crowd. Plus if you like a breathtaking sunset every night, it is literally 5 minutes from the peak of Mount Eden (an extinct volcano). Finally, you know the U2 song, One Tree Hill? The veranda at Yaping House overlooks that very same One Tree Hill they are singing about. Recommended for a relaxed stay of a week or more.β
βI love the gadsby Lodge its nice and tidy the rents cheap and gave me a roof over my head.β
βGood staff and people in Residence Panmure and i will recommend other my friend to stay here.Thank youβ
βStayed here for 2 months whilst looking for a flat/work on a working holiday and itβs a great hostel for short or long term stay. Very clean, good value and has a very homely, friendly atmosphereβ
βI had an absolutely spectacular stay at Hotel United Auckland! From the moment I walked in, I felt so welcomed. The hotel manager was outstanding β genuinely attentive and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly, always smiling and ready to help with anything. Breakfast was a real highlight β plenty of options to start the day right considering the price . And of course, I canβt forget to mention Milo, the hotel dog β such a sweet and friendly presence that made the whole experience feel even more special and homely. Overall, this hotel delivers warmth, comfort, and top-notch hospitality. Iβll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Auckland!β

βI stayed here for just one night and absolutely loved it! The place was clean, comfortable, and had a great atmosphere. The staff, especially Mana, was so friendly and welcoming ! He really made my stay feel special. I would definitely come back if I get the chance!β
βReally interested building which has had some pretty important guests over the years including the Queen of Tonga and also the Queen of England. Lovely feel to the place. Very quiet and peaceful. The rooms were a decent size. The kitchen was clean and spacious and the living room area was really well set out and comfy. The hostel is just a couple of minutes walk from Parnell high street which means that you have shops, restaurants and bars nearby. Would certainly stay here again.β
βThe hostel is very centrally located in Auckland CBD, making it convenient for sightseeing, public transport and walking to many spots. Many reviewers highlight the staff as helpful and friendly. One site noted: βStaff is really helpful and kindβ¦ value honestly you will get what you pay.β According to the hostelβs website, there are large shared kitchens, lounge/TV room, free high-speed WiFi, parking availability. Many travellers say that if you are staying only a few nights and are budget-conscious, it βdoes the trickβ. From reviews: βIt was ok but you got what you paid for. β¦ close to city centre and affordable.β
βSure, this place is a bit run down except they try their best. It's a really old building with some long term residents. Under renovation apparently. Great location.β
