The experience was horrible. I booked a private room but have stayed in much nicer shared dorms. The walls had holes punched in, the toilet was cracked, windows blocked by concrete, dirty walls, rubbish under the bed, and stains on the sheets. When I complained I was moved to another room but very little changed. The hairdryer was also broken while still plugged into the wall. Paid for a double bed but it was just two single mattresses. It appears the owners of the hostel care little for maintenance costs and the well-being of their guests. Dont be fooled by the room photos 0/5 stars.

I do not want to come off as rude but we were very unsatisfied and frankly uncomfortable with our stay here. We were in a King Ensuite for two nights and while our stay here we pretty much did everything we could do avoid our room. Our room was very dirty, from bodily fluids and snot on our walls to the mould growing in the bathroom, walls and on the curtains. We also can only assume what the stains in our bed sheets were as well as the bugs all through out the bed. When we discovered this, it was too late into the night to be able to complain. We have multiple bites over our body from a) not sleeping with the sheets because they were so dirty b)being so hot in the room because there is no heater/ac c)all these said bugs in our bed As a cleaner, I can confidently say that bleach goes a long way as well as taking a small amount of time to pull hair out of a drain. I can easily tell that the shower had not been cleaned for a while from the scum/slime settling in the floor of the shower and the mould growing all around the skirting, walls and every crack and crevice in there. As well as all of this, the holes in the wall, the dirty walls and something as little as not vacuuming underneath the bed made us feel over all unsafe and not clean. We did not feel safe at all while staying here. Please see the attached images below of the room. This will confirm how disgusting the room was.

Worst hostel that I’ve ever stayed in. Staff were moving furniture/ stuff at 3am. Walls were paper thin. Never had a decent sleep as I could hear the noise from outside. First room that I stayed in was mouldy and door to ensuite toilet/shower was broken. Nobody bothered to fix it despite staff being notified. Room had no ventilation. 2nd room that I stayed in was in the 1st floor, corridors looked better but the shared unisex toilet and showers were so filthy. Rubbish and used soaps were everywhere. Room looked like a storage with random bedside tables and chairs situated in the corner. Homeless people are staying directly outside the hostel. It felt like we stayed in an abandoned hostel while paying for a regular hostel price. 100% not worth your money. If you care about your health and safety, do the stay in this hostel.

The photos on their website are deceiving! The room I stayed in was possibly 4 square meters. The toilet and shower were directly in front of the bed. Every time you went to the bathroom you hit your knee on the bed frame. There was no heating, but I guess you wouldn’t need it with a room so small and basically no ventilation. There was a sliding door directly beside the bed which opened into a railing. We paid almost $300 a night for dirty walls, a moldy shower and a room so small you could barely turn around in it. I didn’t take any pictures. We booked 3 nights and only ended up staying one. We couldn’t get a refund because we had booked through a third party, but i doubt they would have offered us a refund anyway The only plus was the location. Its in the middle of the cbd, a 20 meter walk to Queen street

Stayed here for two nights with a friend and had a room with a queen bed. The room was small which was no issue, but not well maintained. Paint peeling off the walls, random stains and dust on the walls, mould on curtain and walls, carpet was filthy, bathroom smelt terrible and toilet roll was not replaced we only had half a roll left. Bed mattress didn’t actually fit the frame, so the pillows kept falling off during the night. The hallways smelt of smoke and other smells. It is very cheap and very good location, but health and safety is a standard no matter the price. I spotted a couple of stains on the sheets and pulled back the blanket to find more, see the photo and make your own assumptions about what it could be. We told the reception the next day, as it was late at night when we discovered it. We were told it was acid wash stains, bur he acknowledged it looks bad. He did offer to change as we were walking away.

Disgusting - I put 1 star because I can’t leave it at 0. The rooms are super expensive for what they are: dirty, smelly, filled with mold and the carpet was wer. Our room had a private bathroom where we found hair and used soap form the people staying before us and yet they had the audicity of charging us for leaving a dish behind in the room. I do not recomment this place at all.

The best part about the place was the location and the security of needing to have a keycard to access your level, the bathrooms and your room. Everything else was pretty poor. It was so unhygienic- the walls were peeling, dirty carpet, stained linen, the shared bathroom was horrendous and smelt horrible- I felt dirty after showering. The shared bathroom on our level was under maintenance so we needed to go to the level below every time we needed to use the facilities. The room was cold and there was no source of heating so I felt sick in the mornings. The staff weren’t very welcoming or friendly. I definitely won’t be staying here again and think they really need to work on their hygiene.

The only good thing is the location. This is the most disgusting place I have ever stayed at. Don't believe the photos advertising this 'hostel'. The rooms are filled with mold, smells like a toilet. Yellow stains on the pillows, blood on the sheets. Shared toilets are dirty, and halfway under construction. This is NOT an exaggeration. We instantly booked another hotel.

This establishment is really well located in Auckland's CBD and very affordable. Really convenient for accessing the many shops and transport services in the area. However, the service left a lot to be desired. Despite the convenience of the location, the service of most of the reception staff spoiled the stay. In addition to their lack of friendliness, they didn't listen. Despite telling us they would take care of it, in 4 days we were never able to get a blanket for our double bed (we only had a small single blanket on our double bed). Please note: no secure luggage storage facilities. The kitchen was very dirty.
