“We had breakfast there . The breakfast menu was good. The food we ordered was really tasty. The atmosphere is of really cozy street cafe where you can spend time and have food. A bit like Europe. The service was real fast and very polite. Overall A nice experience.”

“Hands down favourite dumplings in the whole wide world has to be the pork and chive in spicy sauce. Their ‘hot’ is not to be underestimated, but even though it burns a little for me it’s well worth it. Dan dan noodles a nice accompaniment to the dumplings but not a must. Portion sizes are huge so always go for the Small if in doubt. Fell in love with the original Basu Lounge in Takapuna but I really rate their Browns Bay location more.”

“Friendly staff. The restaurant was almost full so I would recommend booking a table beforehand. The waiting time was short and we didn't have to wait long for our food after we ordered. The food was delicious and made with good quality ingredients that is better than other Chinese restaurant nearby. The dish sizes are large, so it's a ideal restaurant for family and/or friend gatherings. I was happy when I saw one of the staff put a dropped table cloth into a bin for cleaning instead of using it anyway, good hygiene practices. Will come again!”

“Last night, after dinner was done, we went on a wild goose chase to find the holy grail of coffee and dessert spots - and boy, did we hit the mother lode with this place! The coffee was off the charts and the apple crumble was so divine it should have its own fan club - the chef is a culinary rock god! We also fell head over heels for the staff's super friendly vibes, especially Pranav, who's probably the nicest human on the planet. We ended up coming back for breakfast today and it was totally worth it - we can't recommend this place enough and we're already counting down the days until our next visit!”

From the beginning, Rachel, the owner, was incredibly helpful, patiently answering all our questions and guiding us through the party planning process. “Ok...I have to admit, it was not my intention to come here. I was really looking for The Grove and since they were closed this was right next door and up stairs. What an adorable place with a variety of fresh foods, filtered water, charming ambiance and a full bar of coffee, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. No AC but the seating area is charming overlooking the near by park and church. And did I mention free wifi.”

“Stopped in for breakfast this morning. Hubby had the big brekkie and I had the omelet with tomato, mushroom and ham. Both meals came with a 5 grain toast and we had a large mocha each. 100% the most delicious breakfast we have had in a café for a while. The food was so tasty and the coffee was great. We want to know where to get that 5 grain bread.... that was really good. Thanks team, we will see you again.”

“The best place to come have a late night feed! No matter where in Auckland I am I’ll make the drive to Rewa for the food bar. Luau, Wontons, Steak Deluxe sandwich and a milkshake is my go to.
