“We had breakfast there . The breakfast menu was good. The food we ordered was really tasty. The atmosphere is of really cozy street cafe where you can spend time and have food. A bit like Europe. The service was real fast and very polite. Overall A nice experience.”

“Holy!!!! A coast hidden gem!! Went for dinner, started with the cheese and garlic bread, must be home made dough because I could not get enough of it, then had the tarragon chicken, I’ve been dreaming about it ever since, absolutely mouth watering. staff were absolutely amazing, the smiles they give, you cannot help to smile. Decided to come back to try their breakfast today and what can’t they do, coffee 10/10 and I had the smashed avocado, would go back every morning if I could. If I could give it 10 stars I would!!!!”

“I'm giving Portofino 5 stars all around as we absolutely loved the food, service, and atmosphere during our holiday in New Zealand. It was so good that we visited them again before we left...twice in one week for dinner! I definitely recommend dining at Portofino. All of the food we ordered were great from the Lasagna Al Forno, Fettuccine Di Pollon, Vegetarian Fettuccine Vegetarian, Cannelloni Casanostra. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They even offered and opened the window and had fresh air while enjoying our meals. We forgot to take pictures of our food the first time we dined in...that's how great it was! The pictures below are of what we ordered on our second visit!”

“Yum, yum, yum! Highly recommend trying out this place. I had the kingfish sashimi, beef pad see yew and popcorn chicken. The kingfish was absolutely beautiful, beef very tender and had a lovely charred flavour, phat noodles too, soo good!”

“I really enjoyed my meal AND the dessert! It was quite a treat, at an affordable price and great quality. The eggs Benedict wasa great portion size and perfectly cooked. I also had an orange almond cake - yummy... The coffee was great. This cafe is somewhat slightly hidden , but it's worth finding it !”

“Hands down favourite dumplings in the whole wide world has to be the pork and chive in spicy sauce. Their ‘hot’ is not to be underestimated, but even though it burns a little for me it’s well worth it. Dan dan noodles a nice accompaniment to the dumplings but not a must. Portion sizes are huge so always go for the Small if in doubt. Fell in love with the original Basu Lounge in Takapuna but I really rate their Browns Bay location more.”

The food standout for the Taste, presentation and Verity of different dishes. I would love to come back again next time while we are staying in Auckland.”

“Stopped in for breakfast this morning. Hubby had the big brekkie and I had the omelet with tomato, mushroom and ham. Both meals came with a 5 grain toast and we had a large mocha each. 100% the most delicious breakfast we have had in a café for a while. The food was so tasty and the coffee was great. We want to know where to get that 5 grain bread.... that was really good. Thanks team, we will see you again.”

“The best place to come have a late night feed! No matter where in Auckland I am I’ll make the drive to Rewa for the food bar. Luau, Wontons, Steak Deluxe sandwich and a milkshake is my go to. “Absolutely delicious food and decent service. The food couldn’t have been better absolutely chefs kiss as always! Service was good though was a bit disappointed that when the waitress poured our water she spilt quite a bit over the table and said she’d be back to clean it up but never did so we ended up using a serviette. Atmosphere was nice. Overall a really good experience. Definitely recommend if you want good food! Just bear in mind that it is pricey”

“I went to Caffe E Cucina for a tinder date (which went pretty well, I think she likes me!) for lunch, and had a great time. We ordered different kinda small plates from the prima section of the menu and shared those which worked well as we weren't super hungry. The service was good, and prices not toooo bad. The food was definitely the highlight (after the company) with everything cooked to perfection. Seared tuna blew my mind.”

“Not our first time at Elmos, and once again it didn’t disappoint. We were lucky enough to catch the last round of truffle season ,the dishes were absolutely amazing. The service was 5-star, attentive and friendly throughout. The environment is cozy, surrounded by beautiful paintings and stylish décor.”

“Last night, after dinner was done, we went on a wild goose chase to find the holy grail of coffee and dessert spots - and boy, did we hit the mother lode with this place! The coffee was off the charts and the apple crumble was so divine it should have its own fan club - the chef is a culinary rock god! We also fell head over heels for the staff's super friendly vibes, especially Pranav, who's probably the nicest human on the planet. We ended up coming back for breakfast today and it was totally worth it - we can't recommend this place enough and we're already counting down the days until our next visit!”
