My first visit. Nice yum cha restaurant with plenty of parking outside and near countdown. Food is good but found the deep fried squid a bit too fishy... egg tarts were nice and freshly baked. Dumplings were delicious. Food is ordered from the menu rather than from the cart. Plenty of space to move around and not squished too closely next to other tables. It was a good dining experience

Cypress Restaurant is fantastic across the board! I absolutely love both their Yum Cha menu and their dinner menu. The food is consistently very tasty, the portions are generous, and I honestly can't complain about a single dish. This is a must-try spot.

Authentic Chinese dim sum for lunch. I recommend the har gow (shrimp dumplings) and chicken feet. Most dishes are generously filled with minced meat. I felt the prices are reasonable compared to other dim sum restaurants in the city. There is plenty of parking space, and the dining area is spacious as well.

This is our favourite spot for Yumchaa mainly because you always get a chair you can order straight from the menu you don’t have to wait for the cuts to come around which we enjoyed because we don’t have time to wait the crispy prawn rice pepper rolls are probably the best and I highly recommend getting those

Food is very nice and lots of dim sum to offer and came very fast and hot. Just outside corner of countdown with plenty of parking. Just to note it’s 90min so check your car if you have a chance. Seafood options to choose with huge crayfish. Only thing. Is drive of staff to fill water is slow.

Some of the food was cold and had to be reheated. Rejected disgusting roast pork 90% fat, grey cold looking meat. Sesame balls as 75% air, miserable amount of filling. Siu mai was ok for size, but tasteless. Poor value for money, especially with 15% surcharge. Really disappointing. Dont waste your money. Avoid!! Lucky Fortune is much much better.

Excellent range of dim sum, does all the OGs to the best standard. Quick efficient and friendly service. Delicious at each visit and leave feeling very satisfied.

The food here was good, tasty and affordable. The service was good, very quick. It was very busy at lunch time on a Wednesday so I’d recommend coming a bit earlier to grab a table quicker.

For its price, worth the wait. Part of ordering is that you don’t have to wait for the cart to come around, and most things are available if you go early enough. Highlights would be the custard bun (the black one), prawn toast (almost all prawn, tiny toast) and the red rice roll. I have yet to try anything less than average from their menu, even something out of left field (like red bean cake) that I wouldn’t normally order were all peasant surprises. This is now our favourite establishment for yumcha when we come to Auckland, narrowly beating out Alexandria Park.
