Most dishes are vegetarian (and full of flavour!!) but there is still the option to add on bacon if you prefer a traditional bacon and eggs. My husband and I had the Turkish Eggs with Halloumi & the Egg Stuffed Roti - both delicious!”

“Great place for dinner! The atmosphere for this place is just right with the lighting going well with everything. The servers were friendly being knowledgeable with the dishes. The Beef Wellington tasted great, the meat itself was cooked perfectly with it melting in my mouth. The oven baked cauliflower was just amazing. The flavours definitely goes well together, having it inspired by Indian spices probably. The price was pretty respectable for the quality of the food, service and place.”

“Our month-long North Island campervan trip is coming to an end. We arrived in Auckland earlier than planned during our trip, and we hurriedly found a campsite. It looked like a vagrant's hostel, so we canceled our reservation. We were so shocked as to get out without thinking further. To think properly, we decided to grab a bite to eat at the first cafe we ​​found, but it was closing time. We were eating our takeaway sandwiches on a bench outside, and the staff came out and handed a full bag of leftover doughnuts and bread from the day. They could have given them to another customers, but I think they gave them to us because we were on our way. The reason I mention this in my review is that I was impressed by their strict adherence to the same-day sales policy. The bread from our sandwiches at closing time was crispy and delicious, as if freshly baked. They could have sold the bread of still good quality the next day, but they'll bake tomorrow's bread the next day. Isn't that wonderful? As we were leaving, the staff, busy with cleanup, all waved cheerfully and said goodbye. My initial panic instantly calmed, and I felt at ease again. My husband said the cream donut was his thing, and even though he was already full from the sandwich, he ate it all up in no time. It's a shame I didn't get to try the coffee. I'll come back before I return to Korea to try the coffee and review it. (No photos taken in the bad mood)”

“This restaurant offers the most excellent customer service on K Road. After a cozy dinner nearby, my partner and I visited despite the rainy weather. The staff greeted us warmly, making us feel comfortable and welcome. The ambiance was luxurious, and the bar inside was fabulous without being noisy. We noticed many couples enjoying their wines and cocktails after dinner. We ordered a Polite Martini cocktail, which had a strong and authentic gin flavour. I initially ordered it for my partner, but she found it too strong, so I ended up drinking it all - it was very good! I also ordered a beer for myself. We had an excellent time there. The place was open and warm, and the beautiful alcoholic drinks combined with the kind service made us feel relaxed and comfortable, allowing us to chat a lot. For dessert, we ordered the Buñuelo, a gelato with a sour taste that I loved. Overall, this restaurant was fantastic. Great service, great drinks. Highly recommended!”

“Our second time at Apero in ten days, and both times were terrific. The food is imaginative and beautifully presented. The service is so good - a really friendly host takes you through the menu and the wine list in a very charming way, and you feel very welcome, appreciated and well cared for. All the dishes were excellent, and especially good - the potato dauphine and the strawberry soufflé. Oh, and the very good bread and butter! That something so simple can be so well done just shows what a tip top kitchen is at work!”

The staff were not only incredibly friendly but also impressively knowledgeable, making the evening feel special from start to finish. Even getting to pick my own knife for one of the dishes - a very special touch. Every dish was strikingly presented with precision and bursting with flavour. Highly recommend making Paris Butter a priority on your dining list, it’s an experience not to be missed.”

“I have been visiting Purrs and Beans for about 4 years now, and it is my home away from home and my furr family. I adore the cats and cat slaves alike! Spending time with these beautiful kitties is wonderful cat therapy and so good for the soul! Come alone or come with others - it does not matter. They have Mewvie nights and Hobbies with Cats nights on some Fridays. They sell the cutest cat merchandise as part of their way for helping cover costs of caring for their permanent resident cats. They also foster kittens / cats and they adopt them out while following a strict process to ensure the cats are matched to the correct homes. Faith-Ashley, Shane and their team always put the cats needs first and take amazing care of them. The cafe also has a batista service with a variety of things to drink as well as basic things to eat like cookies, donuts, gluten free items, Macarons etc. Absolutely worthwhile Cat Cafe to support!”

“This café is run by a lovely Korean owner who was very kind, and they had a great variety of unique coffee options that you don’t often see elsewhere. It was a busy morning with lots of customers, so I ended up playing it safe and ordered a long black like a fool — but my brave friend ordered the hojicha and absolutely loved it! The indoor space was small, so we sat outside. There was a super cute table set up on what looked like a traditional Korean-style platform, which gave off such a cozy, nostalgic vibe. With the fresh morning air after the rain, a peaceful view of the park right next to us, a beautiful cup of coffee, and a croissant — everything felt just perfect. Next time, I’m definitely going to try the black sesame coffee and the canelé. :) Thank you!”
