Lovely coffee shop, had a latte which was fairly strong. Very good variety of beans on offer as well. Would visit again!

They’ve recently changed the way they prepare their dirty matcha, and unfortunately it’s not as enjoyable for me. In the past, the matcha was mixed and layered at the bottom (as shown in one photo from Friday). More recently, it’s been sitting on top (second photo ordered Saturday), which changes the flavour balance. I asked the team what had changed, and they mentioned they no longer use hot water to mix the matcha. In my opinion, when the matcha isn’t sitting at the bottom before the coffee is added, the signature “dirty matcha” flavour is lost. If I visit again, I’ll be asking whether they can add the matcha first before pouring in the coffee. I wish they kept it the same.

This coffee used to be so good but since the lady’s been on holiday, I’ve been getting a dirty matcha latte in the morning, and it’s really not good. It tastes like water no espresso flavour and barely any matcha at all

Definitely worth the 2-hour drive to find this cute cafe. I was craving for strawberry matcha drink and I read in reddit that this is one of the shops that they highly recommend. My first sip of the strawberry matcha is heaven!

The flat white was smooth and tasty — exactly how I like it. Also tried the dirty matcha latte and it was such a cool mix of matcha and coffee, surprisingly good! The whole place smelled amazing — you could really catch the rich aroma of freshly roasted coffee as soon as you walked in. Chill vibes and friendly staff too. Will definitely be back!

I am really impressed by this small coffee shop. It is one of the rare places in Auckland, and possibly even in all of New Zealand, that truly knows what they are doing when it comes to coffee. The staff members are highly knowledgeable and passionate about their craft, and they have a deep understanding of coffee. I ordered a flat white and matcha, and both were really good. The coffee was strong and perfectly crafted, hitting the spot just as I desired today. The matcha was even more impressive, nearly capturing the authentic taste of Japanese matcha. The only drawback I encountered was the shop's location and size. It is quite tiny, making it less ideal for seating and truly savoring the coffee. However, it is more suited for takeaways, allowing customers to enjoy their beverages on the go. It would be great if the shop could relocate to a more central area or expand its space, perhaps within a mall or similar setting. The potential is immense, and these talented individuals have much to offer to coffee enthusiasts. Overall, it is a must try for coffee fans if you have time. I commend the coffee shop and its team for their excellent work. They have undoubtedly carved a niche for themselves and are a valuable addition to the coffee scene. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic coffee! Amazingly aromatic as they roast their coffee in-house, you can even buy many different kinds of green coffee beans and have them roasted onsite to your liking, just fantastic! Not that I can tell of the subtle differences of various beans easily, but I appreciate the options.
