“I'm from the north and really scared of Auckland mostly South and West of dodgy mechanics who scam because we've had a lot of encounters. But these guys omg, car broke down I towed it to them, a little family run business by the looks, they were very honest and caring. They took care of the car repaired the fuel system drained the fuel and re topped which was the cause, and told me that was it, no more damage. They did recommend other stuff but was just a side note and car can still drive and operate normally now. No pressure no nothing. I drove car out couple days after repair and it was completely immaculate and drove back north. And yes another trusted mechanic up here said I should change exactly what they recommended that day. I'd been to two other mechanics previously for a service/investigation and they'd do the service, start investigating the issue I'd flagged and then just go, meh, looks like a sensor issue. Pit Stop were the first people to actually look past the surface and try to find the fault. They found it and repaired it in the space of a day for a reasonable price. It's a 25 year old prado, and now it drives like a new car, and it already drove well before, so that's saying something!
