“Dishes are generally over sweet… sauce is also over. otherwise dishes are all good. not my taste of sweet foods.”
“An overall memorable experience. Different approach to the term “sushi bar “ but in a good way. Love the self serve and the people were extremely polite and friendly.”
“Saturday lunchtime was an awesome quiet chill vibe for us to have a Japanese Meetup event. Karaage Tofu Poke bowl was delicious! And one of the servers was vegan so she helped with some recommendations. Tried the Umeshu Plum wine tasting platter and it was oishiiiiii desu! Worth a visit anytime for lunch or dinner during the week, weekend. Highly recommended.”
“I've been to a lot of the sushi places around Wellington, and IMO Domo Sushi is one of the best. The staff are always very friendly and talkative, the sushi tastes really nice and is well presented, and they have some good flavours which you would t find at the other sushi stores. This place also feels quite a bit more authentic than the other sushi stores around.”
“Really, really good chicken Katsu at a reasonable price! Probably more suited for takeaway than eating in which is good. I ate in but it's not a restaurant.”
“best sushi in Wellington. Made fresh to order! Takeaway only though.”
“What a hidden gem!! Super tender and crispy chicken and yummy sauces, also very reasonably low price for the portion you get! You can also order online and it only took 5min for my order to be ready :) Just an FYI I got the kimchi bowl which is the only bowl that doesn’t include steamed rice which I didn’t notice.”
“Really rate this place, i ended up getting a spicy karange chicken donburi as the sushi pricess were a little expensive and i was hungry. And for 22.90 the donburi was well worth it! It was Very delicious and a very good size with genourous chicken. Would 100% come again :)”
“The sushi rice was perfectly prepared, and the tonkatsu sushi was surprisingly delicious and remained delightfully crunchy despite being on display in the afternoon. Additionally, the discount offered after 3pm is a great deal. If only the wasabi and ginger could be freshly made from scratch, it would elevate the overall dining experience.”
“Calm environment, and delicious food, even though it was done on time, was super fast, and the boy who attended us, was patient in explaining the dishes to us, even though I had a broken English”
“Incredibly delicious rice balls!! We had Gangnam chicken and Honey garlic chicken Gangnam was the favourite but honey garlic also amazing. Will definitely be back!”
“A hidden gem! Have popped in a few times while over this side of town and am always very pleased. Vibrant atmosphere and lovely decor. Very friendly and efficient staff. Lots of options for hot and cold food. Great prices and portion sizes. Food is always fresh, beautiful and delicious. Highly recommend!”
“The food here was so delicious I had to come back twice during my stay in Christchurch. I ordered the Grill Beef on Rice, along with a Chicken Teriyaki Bun (50 cents of the sales of the buns goes to the Arts Centre). I left feeling nice and full. Give this place a visit if you're the mood for some good Asian food at a good price.”
“Wow. Amazing experience. Our German Chef was spectacular. Thank you for a great family dinner meal. Kids were amazed.”

“The best sushi in Hamilton in my opinion. The salmon, avocado and cream cheese and the vegetable tempura are my absolute favourites! But I like almost everything lol and they also give free miso and are very friendly, welcoming and have good customer service. Also if something isn't there that you want to eat they'll make it for you if you ask.”
“We love coming here, the lady is so nice! We have a big family and there sometimes isn't enough sushi so they are more than happy to make us what ever we want to order and they do it pretty quickly! Absolute favorite sushi place as they have the best service and FLAVORS!”

“We love the takoyaki here and good service. One time they ran out, they cooked a new batch just for me. Felt special. My daughter's favorite is the takoyaki so can't leave without them.”

“Having recently been diagnosed with coeliac, and love sushi, the ladies have been so amazing explaining what is gluten free in their range of food, its always fresh and on some occasions when I have had a late lunch and they have run out of something I like they have offered to make it for me. So appreciative Mary”
