While the sushi portions were on the smaller side and I personally missed having any spicy options on the menu, the quality of each dish was undeniably above average. The tuna nigiri stood out for its freshness and balance, and the desserts were surprisingly delightful — far exceeding expectations for a sushi train restaurant. The hot dishes, such as the croquettes and udon, were served warm and comforting, which added a satisfying touch to the overall meal. I visited with my family, and even one member who usually doesn’t enjoy raw fish found plenty to love here. They were particularly impressed by the smoky flavor of the beef tataki and the clean, perfectly seasoned udon broth. It’s always a good sign when someone who isn’t typically a fan of Japanese food says they’d like to come back. Overall, K10 offers a solid dining experience with fresh ingredients, good variety, and thoughtful presentation. A few more adventurous or spicy options would make it even better, but it’s definitely a place worth revisiting.

   First experience and it was exactly what the name suggests. The limited interaction we had with staff were friendly and helpful. Good variety of sushi’s along with vegetarian options and deserts. Food was fresh and beautifully presented. Made for good eating and fun time.

   Our family dinner at K10 Sushi Train in Ponsonby last night was an absolute delight! It was the perfect solution for our mixed-age group, providing a fun and engaging experience for everyone. The constant parade of beautiful dishes kept my children utterly captivated,it was like a delicious game for them, choosing their own little plates of goodies. The atmosphere was vibrant and modern, with a great buzz that felt celebratory without being overwhelming. We could still easily chat and share our finds across the table. The sushi itself was not only incredibly fresh but also presented like little works of art. I adored the more creative rolls with their complex flavours, while the children were thrilled with the adorable character sushi. My partner couldn't stop praising the melt-in-your-mouth salmon belly nigiri. We also ventured beyond sushi, sharing plates of perfectly crispy tempura, which felt wonderfully comforting for a family evening meal. The service was exceptional. The staff were so attentive and sweet with the kids, helping us with our seating and making sure we had everything we needed. It was a truly effortless, enjoyable, and delicious dining experience that took the stress out of feeding a family. We’ve already decided this will be our new go to spot for our little family celebrations! Highly recommended for mums and families looking for a special night out!

   I’ve never had sushi this bad before. I honestly wonder how such poor-quality sushi was allowed to be displayed and sold. The freshness was gone, the sushi was already dried out, and I was truly shocked to have paid for four packs in that state. What shocked me even more was the attitude of the staff. What exactly were they so unhappy about? Did I do something wrong? This was my first time visiting the store. I came in at around 11:00 PM on 18 July 2025. While I was there, I saw a young boy about the same age as my child touching several packs of sushi with his fingers. I chose not to say anything not because I was trying to be patient, but because I’m not a staff member, and I didn’t want to risk a customer-to-customer conflict. It’s not my job to manage those situations. By the way, there was a female staff member taking her meal break inside the store. To be honest, I don’t understand how this place has a rating above 4.0. I believe the management should seriously investigate both the quality control and customer service at this branch.

   Great meal overall, and First Table’s 50% off deal made it even better. I’m not a big fan of ordering from the menu — I love grabbing whatever catches my eye from the conveyor belt. Just wish they’d restock it a bit faster!

   Food was overall pretty good. However, service was poor. The waiter spilled water and bumped into us when he served the food. He didnt apologise until we addressed the issue.

   Convenient, quick, comfortable booths and the sushi is quite good. They tend to stay open fairly late by Auckland standards which is a real bonus.

   This is the more premium offering from St Pierre’s sushi. A fun outing with the family to experience a sushi train. I liked how all the dishes were covered so very hygienic. The tuna sushi rolls were a highlight. They have bottomless miso soup as well
