“Tieke exceeded all expectations, awesome course layout / design, the back nine is not long, but gives you a lot to think about. Loads of funky greens and areas to chip from, looking forward to playing again soon! James Ashwin”
“What a pleasant surprise on a road trip home! Delicious coffee, super friendly staff, and the kids’ fluffies were a huge win the whipped cream and sprinkles! Lovely community vibes.”
“Love the coffee here, they do a mean coconut flat white and it is also the most reasonably priced coffee in town, if your in the area definitely recommend grabbing a takeaway”
“Came to Matamata with family, who are very picky eaters. When you walk in, the restaurant is split into a kebab shop portion and proper restaurant with double height ceiling with soft ambient lighting. Staff service was very polite, respectful and attentive. We ordered 9 dishes from chicken, to mussells to the vege platter. All of them tasted amazing! Our favourites were the: - Spanish mussells, the flavour of the sauce mixed well with bread. - Lamb cutlets, the Charcoal held well with the scent of the meat. Would recommend anyone to join, from couples wanting a nice dinner date to larger families, as ty have large numbers of seating. Cost is as per menu, not the cheapest in town, not fine dining; worth the price.”
“First time visiting this place, was a perfect start in the day. Super tasty bagels and the hot drinks were fabulous. We loved the setting and the shop design is really fitting. Would love to come back!”
“Incredible vegan food; got a salmon bagel which was so good; so many options so reasonably priced. Cute atmosphere too”
“My husband and I visited this cafe for the first time this weekend and were glad we did; the food was delicious, the coffee was good, and the presentation was beautifully done. We look forward to our next visit.”
“Trendy bar, great craft beers and the waiter was very friendly. Cheers”
“I see the lovely team here almost every day. Best coffee, best staff, couldnt ask for better neighbors! I recommend them the most!!”
“I found they made authentic desserts and visited again with my partner. I was stunned once more! The sandwich was massive and full of fresh ingredients. The salami, parsleys, ham, cheese, baby spinaches and handmade bread! The best ever! I couldn't even finish it over there and fetched it for dinner as well. When it comes to dessert, I've tried cardamom roll, pan au chocola, brown butter cookie, mascapone chocolate tart. None of them disappointed me. Every single thing was authentic. You can see different range whenever you visit then you can't be sick of their menu. Especially, brown butter cookies, it's fabulous when you have it a bit cool. The butter flavour is flooring at every bite and half the cookie is chocolate. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again”
“Another nice place to hang out for gin lovers out there, right in the heart of Dunedin CBD. It has a cool ambiance and a variety of cocktails menu. Don't worry if you are not into gin, there are many other things you can choose to drink. The attendants are super friendly. If they are not busy, they will come around to talk to you. Highly recommended place to wind down on Friday evening.”
“We went here for dinner tonight and the food was amazing, we especially loved the eye fillet, fried chicken and pork pieces! The hazy beer I had on tap was really nice too and the dessert was fantastic. Great service also, the staff were really lovely. Overall was one of the best restaurants I've been to in Dunedin, will definitely be back!”
On the plate at ADJØ, the idea is coffee-and-cabinet and well executed. Cabinet bakes and slices round out the stop. A family‑friendly feel comes through naturally. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy.
“Best coffee/ drink spot. Best service, they always remember our order. We've been coming here literally for years and it's still my absolute favorite place!”
“Really understated cafe and we saw of just stumbled across it this morning. They have three different coffee beans to choose from which works a lot better than the 10 different coffee types to drink (which all kinda taste the same). The coffee is amazing! My partner had a mocha which he said was the best coffee he'd had all year. I had a cappuccino which was perfection. There's a few options for food from the cabinet but it's just what's in the cabinet, which was fine. When we were there, they had filled bagels, filled croissants and a few sweet treats. We shared a salmon bagel and a ham bagel and they both were really good. The combination worked well and ours was toasted to perfection. So really, a winning breakfast for feeling miserable days! The backroom was something grand! When you walk in, there's all these musical instruments to play on (a few needing tuning) but there were percussion instruments, wind instruments, guitars, ukulele, and things I dont know the name of! They were also stacks of those old lead based books, along with paperbacks. So many different styles of writing and all inviting. Peculiar items like chess boards ( you have to see it to understand its peculiarity) and niknaks too. The service was very friendly and kind! The cafe doesn't look like it has it's own allocated parking but there was plenty of street parking.”
“We had such a great experience at Café Fiesta! The moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome. The atmosphere was relaxed and family-friendly. Our food came quickly. Great coffee, delicious food, and a place where you can actually relax — we’ll definitely be back!”
“So good here! All us here at Absolute Health next door love it- I grabbed a really nice tandoori wrap and the protein lunch (eaten in record time:))and I’m ready for the rest of the day full steam Ahead. And a few coffees too we should be right:) Recommend this place!”
“This café is near my workplace, and I often stop by. It gets quite busy in the mornings. I tried an Aerocano here for the first time, and the fine foam on top was delicious. Especially when the boss makes it, the foam is beautifully crafted. (For Japanese coffee lovers who prefer black coffee, I highly recommend trying it, though it’s not listed on the electronic order menu.) Aside from coffee, I also enjoy the feijoa smoothie. I only discovered feijoa after coming to New Zealand, and it’s such a delicious fruit. The staff has changed a bit over time, but they always greet me with a smile. Thank you so much, as always!”
“We had an amazing experience at At 719! The food was top-notch — we ordered the 719 Big Breakfast and the Salmon Salad, and both dishes were absolutely fantastic. The Big Breakfast was generous and perfectly cooked — everything from the eggs to the crispy bacon and grilled mushrooms was spot on. The Salmon Salad was fresh, light, and bursting with flavor, beautifully balanced and plated with care. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the service was friendly and efficient. You can tell they really care about quality here. Highly recommend At 719 — we’ll definitely be back.”
“One of my fave lunch spots. Really great food and service.”
“Tasty and decadent. If you looking to treat that sweet tooth and not quite sure what that may be... hop on over to Khaos Cartel where you're bound to find something to settle that craving. If you more of a savoury person, they cater for this too. Lovely atmosphere, vibey music and modern decor.”
“Big shout out to the great staff (especially Jordan) at Havana Coffee Works for helping me find a new filter and seal for my extremely ancient (but very good) stove-top espresso machine. Thanks for all the suggestions - I did finally find the right sized seal and am enjoying my morning coffee again. We've been getting our coffee on subscription from Havana since 2020 and the service is brilliant. Thanks!”
“All gluten free menu! I can’t believe I’ve only just found out about this cute little café! Their menu is entirely gluten free, which is so nice! I grabbed a muffin and it was yummy. Will def go back.”
“Awesome place! Really friendly service, the decor was really cool and the milkshakes were fun and yum! Highly recommend checking this place out!”
“Grizzly always has the nicest baked goods. Their potato sourdough kicks arse, I really wish that they had it on offer more often but it seems to be pretty common at Christmas, as I've gotten to use it for the most killer post-xmas leftover sandwiches for the past few years.”
“They are dog friendly and let the dogs inside. Super sweet and accommodating staff who are happy to strike up a chat. The layout is wonderful. This was my second time going, their cabinet food is wonderful but even for the coffee stop we did it’s such a treat.”
“This is my regular. The best cafe in town. Food is so flavourful, coffee is divine, yarns with the staff are a highlight.”
“Been here for breakfast a couple times and have loved it. Would highly recommend the creamy mushrooms.”
“Excellent coffee, nice pastries, and great setting and service. Nice enough to have WiFi and a space to do some work for a couple hours.”
“This place is my absolute fav. Delicious, fresh doughnuts and wonderful staff. Enjoy the changing flavours every month. It’s probably good that it’s only open Thursday to Saturday otherwise I’d be there every day.”
