“This little gem is hidden away but is well known for its Sri Lankan delights. They also serve the classic Kiwi brekkie and full meals with great coffee. Open on the weekends too which is an added bonus plus lots of parking available. Very friendly service as always and staff are happy to chat whenever we drop in.”
“Knowledge is power and oh my, the knowledge shared by the lovely lady at Chook Manor was incredible. Thank you for helping with all my questions and queries and even helping me carry all the goodies to the car. I am very grateful. I walked in with a long list of questions and walked out knowing I’ve met the only chicken guru I will ever need! The girls are looking gorgeous in their bracelets AND I feel relaxed knowing they are eating and drinking the correct stuff. Thank you! Best part was how fun you made visiting. Thumbs up from me. I shall see you again :)”

“It's not the cheapest sushi but the selection is great and the premises is very nice and easy to order from. Lovely high ceiling and nice furniture. Even the wooden chopsticks and soy bottles feel premium compared to other sushi restaurants. I would advise eating in rather than takeway.”
“Loved it. There was a good range of Korean street food, most plates costing $12. My husband & I both had the Korean fried chicken with sauce. For $12 each, we each got 4 crispy pieces of boneless chicken, plus pickles. Yummy! It was enough for a light lunch. Quirky decorations. Quick & friendly service. Plan to go back soon.”

“Another great coffee find! Almond Breeze milk which is the tastiest, really reasonable prices with $5 sweets like slices, fresh cream donuts, custard sq, and savoury at $6 for quiches, sandwiches etc. Had a lovely mushroom and bacon quiche. A few indoor seats for 2 and a few street side, busy road tho so bit noisy outside. Great for takeaways. Even had the paper to read.”
“Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Super yummy coffee, cabinet snacks are out of this world, lots of vegan options if that’s your jam. All the tables have a deck of conversation starters to connect with your friends, beautiful barista Georgia is always fabulously dressed and makes a perfect flattie, and another lovely human named Kate always has a great chat with me and organizes events here that help bring the community together. Absolute 10/10 café.”

“An absolutely fantastic day This was a last minute booking as we arrived into Napier a day earlier than expected What a lucky result Don's knowledge is off the scale and his enthusiasm was infectious I have visited many wineries in the past but to be guided through the whole process was at a new level. His choices of wineries and his interaction throughout was something special Thanks Don for an education and a fabulous day with some lovely others guests. Highly recommend.”

“So thrilled to finally get to try out this new café. Amazing coffee/food - we brunched here at the weekend and had the Moroccan chicken salad and French toast, great portions and very taste. They also have outstanding selection of cakes and slices, all made on site! The team here are so hospitable, warm and welcoming. Everything you could want from a cafe and more. Highly recommend this place which has firmly become our new local.”
“Food is average. Good seating area nice and clean store. If you want to have a quiet moment to enjoy a cup of coffee and little bite it is good.”
“Friendly, delicious and gorgeous food and drinks, and fantastic coffee-- we loved it so much we went back every morning during our stay in Auckland. We tried a ton of different things are they were all amazing: hallloumi, chorizo hash, hotcakes, apple crumble, lemon bar. And the coffee drinks can compete with some of the best back in Seattle-- we loved the flat white and tall black, the latte, and the hot chocolate and vanilla fluffy were hits with the kids.”

“I would highly recommend this place for Poly food. The portions are great, the service is very friendly and there is lots to choose from. Had breadfruit for the first time since visiting the islands. Just really gorgeous, simple and fulling meals. I was looked after by Asif who took great care of our table (my partner and I). You wouldn't see this place from the outside, so I recommend making the effort.”
