“My son currently goes to this kindy and absolutely loves it! All the teachers here are fantastic and so supportive - they are the reason why this kindy is brilliant. I feel comfortable walking in and having a chat to any of the teachers. The programs are great - the kids even learn yoga on Tuesdays! This kindy celebrates all kinds of cultural festivals - Diwali, Chinese New Year & Matariki. There is always something going on. I really like the smaller number of children to teacher ratio and the community feel this kindy offers. My son has made some lovely friends and it's been great getting to know the parents. The new playground is super cool!”

“My 3 boys love Playcentre. Wally started when he was about 16 months, Scottie 1 month and Bo since a newborn. It is a safe, happy place for my tamariki where they learn, play with friends, explore and enjoy playing with Mama and other parents. Thank you Glendene Playcentre for being a special part of our children's upbringing.”

“Amazingly safe pool spot. I take my nephew to swimming as a beginner to Rebecca and he absolutely loves her as well as the class. A little something for everyone and with summer around the corner the outdoor pool will be a great place to hang out”

“After a few bad experiences at other daycares, I finally found the perfect fit for my daughter at young learners. All the staff are amazing and really get to know everything about your child, the ratios are great and there is excellent communication and daily updates. You really feel like everyone there really cares about your child and my daughter is so happy to go everyday. The facilities are great and always super clean, and the lunches are always healthy and delicious!”

“Fantastic staff and location here. Beautiful and spacious gardens that the children tend to, as well as great play equipment. Our children continues to enjoy wonderful and open relationships with the staff and former classmates.There is a grand and old tree in the middle, which really sets this kindy apart from so many small and cramped ECEs.”

“The best decision I made was taking my daughter out of her daycare and starting her at Favona Kindy. My mum enrolled her when she was born and a space only came up when she turned 3yrs, the waiting list is long. The teachers Sally, Joyce & Teena are the best and the reason my daughter loved attending, they are interactive with the kids in everything, they are caring and genuinely love playing and teaching the kids. Every term they had a at least one trip to Snowplanet; Zoo; Devonport using a bus, train and ferry boat; Motat or some where the kids were interested in. Monica would make lunches every day for $3 my daughter would get a sandwich, fruit, carrot & celery with hummus and 3-4 other choices these healthy food choices have continued on through Primary because she enjoys these foods now being a part of her daily eating habits. They recently upgraded their facilities and to top things off they received a 5yr Ero Report which is very rare. If you want your child to have an awesome preschool experience to lead into real school and where they are apart of a caring, supportive and nurturing environment then send your child to Favona Kindy. They deserve it!!”

“It's been 16 years since I've been here but I still remember the caring and patient staff at this kindergarten. Paula and Simrat who worked here in 2005/2006 always looked after the children, they never shouted or got angry about accidents and overall had great work ethic. Highly recommended to take your children here once they turn 4. The only down side though is during school holidays their services are limited.”

“My two children LOVE it here! They learn so much and have gained so many new friends that they rave on about in high regard. The teachers are so beautiful in the way they teach and nurture our children. Since attending this childcare centre my babies have excelled so much in general, from the way they communicate to singing songs and even reading/familiarising themselves with particular words and spelling. It's been amazing to watch the staff here implement everything that's done at home and even taught me ideas, as a solo Mum, on what else I can do, just by seeing how much my babies enjoy the work and play they do here at Early Discoveries. My neice and nephews have attended in previous years and have only amazing and treasured memories of the place. From previous staff to new staff employed, they all have the same nature about them and genuinely work together to aim for the best start our babies can have before heading off to big school.
