“Spectacular trees, and nice place to chill out”
“Had an absolute blast there with my whanau. The had a bouncy castle, face painting, lollie scramble and a coloring comp for the kids. ( the coloring was done before we went from their website ) lots of races lots of crashes was super exciting and a wicked awesome time. Awesome work from the team at Beachlands.”
“This area overlooks the St Kilda beach and can be booked out for events. The entirety of the drive up to Lawyers Head is open to vehicles between 11am and 3pm on weekdays, bollards are closed outside of these times making the area pedestrian only. Bollards are also locked on public holidays.”
“Took my moko there. Love the ambience and enjoyed the movie. Although when purchasing tickets, would be good if we could see how long the movie is. I wasn't expecting Jurassic Park to be so long.”
“Heaps of fun. Great atmosphere. A little pricy at an average of $20 per person.”
“Beautiful facility, lots of equipment that caters to each body part. Love the row machine and the cross trainer. Really good quality machines! Probably the best I've been on, in terms of gym equipment. Does get packed, just need to find that moment that is suitable for your needs. Thanks Unipol!!”
“Awesome place for Pacifika people”
“The plants arrived in excellent condition. There were no broken stems, and the plants' leaves and flowers were fully intact. They are clearly strong specimens, entirely free of weeds, and perfectly hydrated. Each plant, with its excellent root system, is ready to be planted straight into the ground. I highly recommend their delivery service.”
“It's a nice playground but it doesn't have any bathroom nearby but good for kids 4 and up”
“Love this little spot for a picnic on a hot day! Kell Park has everything you need and more: plenty of shade, public toilets, ample parking and pushchair/wheelchair accessible pathways. Dogs are allowed off leash year round (although mind the free range chickens!) Albany library is just alongside so perfect to grab a book and read in the shade. There is a small playground (suitable for younger children) in the main park - or follow the pathway in either direction for a short bush walk to the big slide and flying fox (flying fox was out of order when we visited Jan 2024). For older children there isn’t a lot to do here - though the flying fox if working would be a good draw. We visit this park fairly frequently and it is never busy.”
“This park is always clean and well maintained. Though its not a main park its always looking like one. Great area for kids to play. Maybe have a sunsade somewhere? Thats a bit to ask but wont know unless you ask.”
“Great space fun for all ages. Plenty of shade.”
“Monarch Park is a picturesque park that combines natural beauty with excellent amenities. Its lush greenery, walking trails, and well-kept picnic areas make it a perfect spot for families, joggers, and nature enthusiasts. The park's calm and welcoming atmosphere provides a refreshing escape from the hustle of daily life. Whether you're looking for a place to relax, enjoy outdoor activities, or connect with the community, Monarch Park is a fantastic choice.”
“Good size park, flat area with playground”
“Fabulous location for a quiet walk or to run the dog or perhaps have a picnic, plenty of space coupled with a lil wildlife and scenic views all inside a residential neighborhood.”

Both side of the ground has BBQ facilities . Really suggestable to all to spend your quality of your time and to make your kids enjoy.”
“Played Reserve Women's softball match against Otahuhu.”
“Nice place, big playground for kids.”
“Love this park! Usually a night market on the weekends and plenty of space for kids, playgrounds, basketball courts, and even flat ground skatepark with some mini ramps. They also host events here like Matariki!”
“Nice park / playgroundfor both kids and adults.”
“One of the best parks I have ever taken the kids to. So many things for them to do and plenty of space. Lots of parking. This park has everything, after going to so many different playground across Auckland with the kids this one is the best by far.”
“Lovely little park with alot of cool things for kids especially the train”
“Great playground with areas suitable for all ages, pity there are no toilet facilities close”
“Always stop here as a combination with the aquarium. Long flying fox. Big and small wheel climbers. Small kids area. Large lawn besides and beach across the road for a view of city and port.”
“Lovely park. Nice shade in the summer in between the trees.”
“Very nice and large park in the busy Onehunga area. The flora are well maintained and the walkways are nicely curated. The location is easily accessible and ample parking is available on the streets. Public toilets are available and are nicely maintained. A large sized fountain is also installed in here. A decent sized children's play area is there, which attracts a lot of kids. Proximity to the Onehunga pools is an added advantage. Well recommended.”
“A lovely well managed little community centre with different size rooms for hire and many community and business activities.”
“Barbara Jenner's review above has confused two venues. She is criticising the large Torbay Community Hall which is owned by the TCA - Torbay Community Association. Torbay Theatre, an amateur theatre group, owns the small Gate Theatre which is attached to the Hall. I hope this clarifies things?”
“Beautiful setting and environment. Children play ground as well as walking tracks, one of which leads down to water front. Grounds gets very soggy on wet winters, this is so to the basketball court, paly ground, refer photos. Good summer picnic spot, quite and a hidden gem.”
“The best part are the acoustics. You have very good sound quality wherever you sit. The staff are friendly and helpful and the shows are always of a very high caliber.”
