    Kell Park

    ★★★★☆ 4.5 Open

“Love this little spot for a picnic on a hot day! Kell Park has everything you need and more: plenty of shade, public toilets, ample parking and pushchair/wheelchair accessible pathways. Dogs are allowed off leash year round (although mind the free range chickens!) Albany library is just alongside so perfect to grab a book and read in the shade. There is a small playground (suitable for younger children) in the main park - or follow the pathway in either direction for a short bush walk to the big slide and flying fox (flying fox was out of order when we visited Jan 2024). For older children there isn’t a lot to do here - though the flying fox if working would be a good draw. We visit this park fairly frequently and it is never busy.”

The location is easily accessible and ample parking is available on the streets. Public toilets are available and are nicely maintained. A large sized fountain is also installed in here. A decent sized children's play area is there, which attracts a lot of kids. Proximity to the Onehunga pools is an added advantage. Well recommended.”
