“Most amazing Cottage - Hosts left fresh baked bread, fresh eggs and everything we needed to cook. Rooms were beautifully appointed and fireplace well stacked. The fire toasted the room up quickly and I enjoyed the bathtubs. Close to good vineyards as well. Kids played happily in the large garden and then we all went for a walk down to the river. Tom suggested we bring the kids to his farm as we left so they could collect the eggs. Quite possibly the best rental cottage in NZ.”

“This place is so good. You'll have a full ensuite room in Steve's house and he'll make sure you have everything you need. The room is spacious and you'll find privacy here in Bay View, and Steve is around when you need him. “I have stayed there with my husband on 3 separate occasions and enjoyed the Tranquillity and the views. It has been a pleasure to drive up and down the tree lined driveway - Park into a courtyard which has the entrance to your own 1st floor spacious apartment. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, the pheasant call woke us in the morning to beautiful Hawkes Bay weather. Then we packed the car to go trout fishing on the nearby rivers. A day of golf, then unfortunately we had to go home. Each trip being much of the same routine. The hosts always ensure your needs are satisfied, lovely couple.”

“Paid NZ$ 147.61 for 1 night stay in Nov 2023 in Lisa's B & B after 18% discount from credit card. Booked through Agoda. 1. Stayed in a separate room from the main house. It was a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood. 2. The room was clean, neat, tidy and very spacious. The bed was comfortable. 3. The air-con was powerful and cold. 4. The attached toilet and bathroom was clean and spacious too. The water pressure and drainage was good. They provided bath and face towels. 5. The wifi was stable. 6. Lisa was very polite and friendly. She is a great host. 7. They provided simple breakfast such as bread, cereal, yoghurt, jam, etc. 8. Car can be parked at the front porch area. 9. There are some eateries about 2-3 minutes’ drive away.”
