“This side of river walk and beach has become a go to place for a easy-going and peaceful evenings. In one word, lovely! Some snaps from winter and summer.”
“A very nice Walk along the river , scenic view, easy paveway , good for all ages , not a big park”
“Hayes Paddock is a delightful spot in Hamilton that perfectly balances natural beauty with a touch of local history. The park is beautifully maintained, offering a peaceful retreat with plenty of green space to relax, play, or have a picnic. The walk along the Waikato River is particularly scenic, and the views are simply stunning, especially during sunrise or sunset. What I love most about Hayes Paddock is the sense of community it fosters. The area feels safe and welcoming, with friendly locals and a charming, laid-back atmosphere. The nearby cafes are fantastic for grabbing a coffee or a bite to eat after a leisurely stroll. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Hayes Paddock is a must-visit. It's a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, offering a tranquil setting to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Hamilton. Highly recommend!”
“Awesome place for autumn weather! So love this as it is not too crowded my son enjoyed scooter here. Surely will be back it is just right beside the waikato museum.. good walking track and bike track.. can also just enjoy the view while also reading your fave book!”
“I love going to the farm market on Sundays when I'm free. I always find new things like cheeses, salami, pastries, relish that are worth trying. There are also several fresh vegetable options at a good price. It's also a good place for coffee in the morning. I always leave with a bag full of healthy ingredients to consume during the week. An important tip is to bring cash. If you forget, you can exchange it there, paying a fee. Some sellers accept cards. There is also live music, which makes the atmosphere more pleasant. The market is inside a covered area and there is plenty of grass outside if you want to bring your pet. You can also find organic vegetables, options gluten free, plants, flowers, cheese, eggs...”
“Amazing . Birds friendly. Track good.”

“Love this place for a quiet walk, can finish the loop in about 1 hour. Have to park on the roadside, no specific parking space”
“Beautiful campsite, popular with big families with kids staying for up to two weeks in big tents, dog friendly, water only from the river. Lots of nice day walks to do in the area, the Windows walk is worth it!”

“All I have to say is that it has been years since I've been here and I still think about it from time to time. Their salmon is the best I've had at any restaurant. Genuinely could not recommend more.”
“Friendly fast service. And their food is really tasty and delicious! Ordered lemon chicken, sweet and sour pork, combination fried rice and fish and chips! Would definitely recommend!”
“Craved for chicken and chips so I got it from here. Service was quick and efficient. Juicy chicken. Would like to try other items on the menu some other time.”
“Birdsong, natural beauty, an easy path, this is a fabulous walk. Perfect bike ride for 5 year olds. Dogs allowed, on leads. Surprises provided by creative maimai and artistic fairy houses. Picnic areas by the main car park and rest seats around the lake, allow us to soak in the views. Loved it.”
“First visit in this Japanese restaurant in the lunch time. We arrived early and few customers were already inside. This is one of the few authentic Japanese cuisine restaurants in town. As you enter, it seems like you are in Japan, great decorations, long bar featuring traditional customs. Food came quickly, we ordered some chicken karage for our chidren, my wife ordered salmon with salad and me lamen. All tasted fantastically nice, soft rice and well seasoned. Owners are Japanese, that explains much of the quality and precision. Looking for another good experience in the future.”
“The idea of Pizza Hut was never appealing until Tuakau branch opened. I can’t even tell you how many times we have ordered from there now and not one pizza has ever been a disappointment! Great pizza and if you are doing a bulk order management will look after you! So call them up to order.”
“I get my coffee here every morning and it's brilliant, the owners are lovely they always know my order and start my morning on a positive note.”
“The generosity of the owner is just unreal. As a Ta walker we were allowed to pitch our tent on the backyard for free. Acces to the bathroom and even the possibility to charge up out stuff overnight. Before we left she even gave us some leftover from the kitchen. Food is amazing. Gotta go there and see for yourself but wish her the best of luck with her beautiful cafe !”
“AMAZING organics and fresh produce! Love the local foods, beautiful flowers, organic meats & cheeses, and delicious locally baked sourdough. Always stock up here enroute back to Auckland! Wish we had your shop up here team! Love it!!”

“Best Malaysian food in Hamilton! it's also a lot cheaper than other places”
“Everything was absolutely delicious, the naan was just perfect and their meat to curry ratio was perfect unlike some other places that I’ve noticed are a bit stingy on their meats.”
“A great find, This unassuming little place located near The Wayward Pigeon does an amazing selection of dishes. We loved their take on yum cha share plates. So nice to be able to choose from a great selection of small plates that suit all tastes and appetites. Our group of 6 chose 2 plates each to share. Cost per head very reasonable and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend the beans dish, great for sharing and delicious. We will all be returning to try our new favourites and sample other items from their great menu.”

“We took our hybrid in to get the drivers door window fixed. It was super easy to get it checked, they found the issues and communicated options and costs with us and fixed it quickly with no problems. We also asked to get a WOF done at the last minute and they took care of it very quickly. Great service and price, we will definitely go back.”
