The fried rice looked tasty but had no flavour. The bbq pork noodles were nice but again lacked a bit of flavour. The wonton filling was tough, gristly and flavourless. The chips, fish and potato fritters were great - very crispy, nice batter.
Tried for the first time tonight after trying several other places closer to home. Food was awesome! We had vegetable Bami Goreng and Vegetable Chop Suey and some chips. Great food. Will be returning. Photos of dishes after we already had eaten, generous portions.
We have been going to Queenwood for 20 years, still the same owners and they are incredibly consistent with the quality of their food. Very generous servings too. Our go to is sweet-and-sour chicken, combination fried rice, chicken, cashew, and pineapple. Can’t rate highly enough. Now that we live much further away we still drive to Queenwood in Chartwell, we have not found one better in all that time.
Friendly fast service. And their food is really tasty and delicious! Ordered lemon chicken, sweet and sour pork, combination fried rice and fish and chips! Would definitely recommend!
Been ordering from here for over 2yrs now. Love the food! Consistently delicious. Sweet & sour pork is really good, doesn't feel greasy and the meat is always tender. Chow mein has great flavour & the veges are never soggy. Excellent wontons with decent meat filling and delicious flavour. Friendly staff.
The best fish n chips I've had when living in NZ in 2011. I always had some when coming back from school, I miss it a lot! 100% recommend, I'm sure they still make amazing food.
The service is always so friendly and kind. I love their chicken chowmain. My favorite fish n chips in Hamilton (I haven't tried them all)
I wasn't too impressed with their service ,had to wait almost an hour,ordered their Combination Seafood Fried rice,well all I got was the shrimps , oysters, and mussels what I thought were scallops "was actually stingray cut out to look like scallops (fake as) then there was the suririmi (which is just finely chopped fish pieces and dyed to look like crabmeat ) and the rice and mixed veggies were dry as.
Very tasty fried rice - love the smokey flavour. Big portions at a reasonable price. It pays to order over phone as the place normally get busy. Note there is no dine in option.
