“Friendly, helpful staff. Always good specials”
“Always a pleasant experience when shopping here. Great staff, brilliant prices and the food is always divine. Dangerous location for over spending and over eating.. but absolutely no complaints!”
“Delicious muffin and latte. Cozy atmosphere and thoughtful touches in cafe.”
“Really good food, but very small portions for the price. Look, I don't mind paying a lot of money for good food, but giving an amazing bene with one piece of bread instead of two saves you $0.10 and takes away my full enjoyment of the meal. I would be posting a 5 star review if I just received two pieces of bread.”
“We had a lovely night staying here ,with the window open all night listening to the waves crashing. Dinner down below was marvelous”

“Very cosy and tasty boba! Best time to get after a long day of school/work with a friend”
“Coffee well needed! Good selection of hot and cold food”
“Beautiful view overlooking the port. The ambience inside is unique and can cater for larger crowds. Coffee was excellent, probably one of the best I've had in Dunedin. There must've been a shortage of Caramel slice with the tiny pieces available, however it not lack in taste. Should've been $3.50 at the most. My friend was disappointed that there was no cheese scone however, nonetheless he settled for a savoury scone which he said was great.”
“Superb little shop and the owner is very friendly, glad I stopped here.”
“Me and my partner decided to try this place as it opened relatively recently, and we were not disappointed! We ordered lots of starters, which are normally on the yum cha menu during lunch. The tripe and the fried squid were probably my favourites, but all of the dishes were really good! Even my partner who is normally hard to impress was really happy with all of the food. The place also has a really nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. We’re definitely going back!”
“Some of the tastiest food I’ve eaten. We went in quite early and was pretty busy by the time we left. 6 or 7 dishes between two. Will be back again.”
“Amazing little place that can fit about 50 people or so. It is really better than what I expected. I try the mix grill and I really really enjoined it. The meat is so fresh and testy. The service was fast it took about 12 minutes for me to get my order which is normal for fresh grill . For desert I tried the baclava which really good. The only thing I really did not like as much is the hummus. The rest I really enjoyed it. The staff was amazing and very friendly with great smile . Wish them the best I will definitely will stop my again whenever I am in town.”
“The food is much more better than any other Chinese cuisine restaurant I ever ate during these few days. Total 4 Chinese restaurants we tried in 8days , we ordered 6-10dishes for each restaurant. I can commented that this is the best, human touch, friendly and fresh ingredients. Would highly recommend the vege, gong bao chicken and pork slices, it’s very delicious.”
“First time had breakfast from here, even though visited couple of times before. Food surpassed my expectations. Egg Benedict with bacon was yummy.Perfectly cooked bacon and tasty bread. Big breakfast was good too. Also, best friand ever.Coffee was ok. I think morning is the perfect time to visit this cafe. Other times the cafe seems very busy and you will get least attention.”
“The food surpassed our expectations, ordered "big breakfast" and it was delicious. Chicken tender wrap was okay. Coffee was stimulating. This cafe has a spacious place and great view from upstairs ( especially morning). Cafe close to the University is a great spot for get together.”
The kitchen at Dunedin Noodle House takes a Thai-inspired path and lets the food speak. Stir-fries keep good heat and snap. Meat‑free options are woven into the menu. A sensible spend for the quality.
Greenland's Cafe & Restaurant leans into a classic fish-and-chips approach with no fuss. Grill work shows a clean sear and rested meats. Portions are generous yet well judged. Eggs land on point and toast stays crisp.
WongGok Restaurant keeps things Chinese takeout and focused on flavour. Pricing lines up with the offer. Woks keep a quick pace and good sear. Good value shows in the serve sizes. Front‑of‑house runs...
