I loved the brunch and lunch when I was running to and from work and uni, a great location and always easy to pick what I wanted. My husband raves over the sandwiches, he will often drive out of the way to get them on his lunch break. Always super filling and fresh he says, worth the money. Friendly staff and great selection

Pies are no longer freshly homemade. I was so disappointed by the change in owners. I used to come here almost daily while cramming for my undergraduate exams. Their steak n cheese, mince and cheese pies were absolutely amazing and you could tell they were not mass produced in a factory somewhere as it had that authentic, home made taste to them. After they changed store owners, the previous pie quality went out the window. I revisited the bakery this year after leaving Dunedin for a few years and the pie tasted like any stale, tasteless, frozen pies that you would get from any regular supermarket. A true disappointment. They compromised quality for a cheap alternative while maintaining the same expensive price of the homemade pies by the old owner. Probably never coming back again but might check once in a while to see if the pies can give me that nostalgic feeling of my undergraduate life has returned.
