“They are FANTASTIC. The service is 11/10 and the food is wonderful with great lively atmosphere. Chef took unnecessary and infinitely kind care to make our starters without butter as he noticed we had a vegan at our table. So kind and so warm. 100% recommend! Plus they have amazing margaritas :)) Also so so affordable it’s ridiculous. Vast vegan menu :)”
“Their chips are cut in house and are absolutely delicious! They have great quality fish and the batter is amazing as well. A hidden gem, highly recommended.”
At & Takeaways, the menu stays classic fish-and-chips, served with an easygoing pace. Pricing lines up with the offer. Fish is cooked to a clean crunch and chips stay tidy. Sweet‑and‑sour stays balanced and crisp.
“Probably the best sushi I’ve had, no jokes. Had a super fresh summer roll type platter, some fried dumplings and all was so good and fresh. Highly recommend over the other sushi in the mall.”
“Best Chinese chippy in Dunedin! They also do Kiwi/English food and Indian curries. I gave atmosphere three stats because it's a takeaway. We normally get combo chow mein, chicken curry and chips, sometimes all three! Not wheelchair or mobility scooter accessible, but they will take an order and payment from the door.”
On the plate at Burger King Meridian, the idea is simple, bistro-style and well executed. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy. Wait times are contained even when busy. Portions are generous yet well judged.
“Loved it overall. Clean store, yummy offerings great fast service , scrumptious food. We tried nachos, vegetarian bowl and sauces. Everything spot on. Can't wait to be back to try more You are looking at the most expensive glass of water. An absolute rip off to charge so much for water when you are dishing out sauces and condiments for free. Do not blame you guys, this is the story in New Zealand now, sugary fizzy drinks are cheap as and water costs more. Food was good as usual. Fresh, flavourful and well presented. Loved the Sun on my face sitting on the window seat. Neat clean.place.”
Tokyo Garden Restaurant keeps things simple, bistro-style and focused on flavour. Views add a quiet lift to the visit. Portions are generous yet well judged. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy.
“Move over Maccas and Burger King. Wendy’s food is tastier and fresher. Can’t find any fault and staff don’t treat you like your an interruption to their whinging and gossip sessions. My new favourite fast food.”
O & Bowl (Meridian) leans into a simple, bistro-style approach with no fuss. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy. Wait times are contained even when busy. A sensible spend for the quality.
“It's dominos, you get what you expect. The staff there were amazing though and their service was excellent.”
“Love the service in this restaurant : I think this is a very authentic Chinese restaurant in Dunedin. There is a buffet and a la carte. The Sichuan cuisine tastes very good. The pickled fish tastes authentic. My family and I come here often. The service is also very good.”
“The cashier painted a smiley face on my nachos with sauce and it made my evening :) I don't know her name but thank you to whoever did that!”
