Best Chinese chippy in Dunedin! They also do Kiwi/English food and Indian curries. I gave atmosphere three stats because it's a takeaway. We normally get combo chow mein, chicken curry and chips, sometimes all three! Not wheelchair or mobility scooter accessible, but they will take an order and payment from the door.
We spent $10.50 for 3 scoops of chips, we received what looked like one scoop. The woman who runs it should consider to stop buying chips from the fresh choice across the road and start making their own chips.
Minimum Chip is my go to meal, perfect amount of chips in a bag for $3.50 and salted to perfection. I love minimum chip. Great Atmosphere too.
$10 chips get you Enuff for the seagulls The chips are very poor quality powdery dry and bland like not the right potato to deep fry save your money and go somewhere else it's gone down hill it isn't worth it.
Super rude staff! Yelled at me for not coming to pick up my food “fast enough” and threw my order out when it had only been a short period of time. In front of other customers too, yelling at me across the shop. So unbelievably rude. Won’t be going back
Absolutely rude. I ordered fish and chips. Was given a paper bag not realising the lady gave me 2 fish as i was waiting for my chips. 5 minutes later she asked me what I was waiting for and I said the chips. She then decided to argue with me saying I ordered 2 fish and not chips. Also the fish presented to me was very oily which to me means the oil doesn't get changed regularly. What really makes me mad is when owners keep arguing with the customers and not taking responsibility for their wrong. At the time of ordering she seemed to me like she didn't care much about me as I was a coloured person but gave other people a welcoming gesture such as hello. Will not be returning at all.
Sweet and sour pork is amazing, possibly the best I've had in Dunedin. Burgers leave a lot to be desired but are at a price that makes it alright. Chips are usually good (haven't had bad chips there yet). Chop soy Pattie is good too... Basically definitely get sweet and sour pork and chop soy patties, everything else is alright and can't complain
