“Great place, with great service! My partner and I went into Dawes last week to get feed for our meal worms. Had a bit of a walk from the bus stop near Foremans Rd to Dawes itself, and would have had to get a taxi from Dawes back to our place in Beckenham. Thank you to Dawes awesome Operations Manager John Miller who offered to deliver the feed to our door for us at no extra cost! Thank you John for your amazing service, we will be back again. “So glad I stopped here. I had the farmers breakfast and it was worth every $. Huge serving and it helped me get through the day. The toast that comes with this dish is crispy yet fluffy, no hard rock toasted ciabatta. The coffe was great too. Loved the atmosphere and there were many regulars. Will return.”

“This bar was decorated really nicely with nice velvet couches, board games and a fireplace. They have a few mixed drink options, we both got martinis. Otherwise they have a lot of whisky. We did ask for other suggestions of drinks but it seemed like we had to stick to the few on the menu. The jam on the martini was really good and a unique garnish!”

“Absolutely loved this place! A cozy, family-run Japanese restaurant with amazing food and a welcoming atmosphere. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. “Delicious! Smash Browns and Chicken Fenders were very tasty and addictive. We felt they were perfectly seasoned, though some might find them a tad too salty depending on your preference. There are plant-based vegan and vegetarian options too. Great for a quick bite before or after flights or while waiting for your rental vehicle nearby. About a 10min walk from the airport terminal. There are boards showing real-time updates of departing and arriving flights. We dropped by for our first meal in the country after flying in, and came again for our final meal before flying off. Plenty of parking outside. Tables are a little sticky, and sometimes the benches during lunch hour have crumbs; could do with more thorough cleaning.”

“We were warmly greeted on arrival and this set the tone for the rest of the evening. The food was outstanding, we shared 4 plates - the asparagus, the venison tataki, the lamb and the potatoes. Each plate was generous and beautifully presented. There was obviously a lot of love and care taking place in the kitchen, and we certainly benefitted! Overall a 5 star experience.”

“Sakura is a real “cherry” treasure well hidden inside Asian Mall. When we first found it, we couldn’t believe our luck. Small , family run Japanese restaurant with amazing options of both vegan and not vegan food. Our favourites are Agedashi Tofu, veggie tempura and seaweed salad which is must try ! There are some choices of sushi including vegetarian but if you ask they make it vegan. Plenty of choice of Sake as well for connoisseur of that drink. Staff is always nice and friendly and very polite. Since tables are limited booking is recommended especially on weekends as place is always packed. Sakura is No. 1 Japanese restaurant in town without doubt!”

“We had such a great experience for our New Year’s Eve dinner that we came again for my father in-law’s birthday! The set menu for New Year’s Eve was absolutely delicious! We had the same waitress both times and she made the experience exceptional (her name is Janice from Germany-sorry for not spelling her name correctly). She is a rockstar! When we came for the regular menu, and everything tasted so good! It is a very unique restaurant and wish there were more like this! (The 200 g Canterbury beef fillet is a must! The homemade bread is delicious and so is the soup special)”
