    Accidentally discover the best souvlaki in Christchurch. Since then, I have visited once a week. Every time, Penny cooked the chicken and medium rare beef to my liking. The tzatziki so nicely matches the meat and the pita is warm and toasted nicely. Once they didn't have beef and I tried the falafel which was really good! And I finally tried the Kourabiedes, omg, I can't stop eating it, and finish 100gm easily. I highly recommend everyone to try their food!

    The best souvalaki in town!! Fresh, hot and served with a smile. The food is authentic, high quality and delicious for an incredibly reasonable price. A small is $9 which is so good for what you get!! The meat is always beautifully cooked, salad fresh and prepared that day. Plus the service is always lovely :)

    There is no better souvlaki in Christchurch than Penny's! First introduced to them in 2010, this wee gem has been my favourite ever since. If I'm ever lucky enough to be in the area I'll grab a large chicken. The spanakopita and mushroom filo are amaaazing too. Buy everything!

    Beautiful atmosphere, stuff are just lovely. I ordered a regular mix-chicken and felefal souvilaki Both cooked perfectly. Chicken was juicy and both had lots of flavor. Great amount of meat and felefal in there. All ingredients are fresh. The souvilaki is a pocket bread not an actual souvi bread "wrap". DIY sweet chilli or hot sauce. Hot sauce is gooood. There are a few parking spaces available for here. Overall will definitely go back. (For a large) Cheers

    Tasty food but expensive for what you get. Regular and large souvlaki are served in a half pita pocket, not a full pita bread. There is plenty of meat In the large, but very little salad. Seems like a lovely family business, but if you're wanting a generous serving for dinner, maybe choose one of the other Greek souvlaki or Mediterranean food options in Christchurch.
