“It was my first time at a vegan restaurant but I did enjoy my meal. We left it up to the chef and chose the big feast option which is $59pp (minimum 2 people) and a wine pairing for 1 person $35. I was so stuffed I had to go for a walk afterwards.”

“I went to many Thai food places in Auckland. And this is by far my first favourite. Yummy authentic Thai food at affordable price. Kind people. I love the Kao Pad (Thai fried rice) so much. Would 100% recommend.”

“Fresh, tasty food at a reasonable price. I had a mixed vegetable stirfry with chicken, which was succulent and tender. Helpful service, especially regarding my requirement to be gluten free (the Hungry Time used gf soy sauce in my stirfry). The place was clean and I appreciated the fact that the music was nice and quiet in the background, but it's not really the kind of place you go to for its decor - it's all about the food.”

“This restaurant was excellent. My wife and I came here on a rainy Thursday evening after work, it had been on my watchlist for a while. We didn’t have a reservation, but luckily we were able to get a good table. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We ordered two of their signature dishes: the pineapple prawn red curry and the prawn and chicken Pad Thai. The red curry was served inside a whole pineapple, which was both impressive and delicious. It had big, juicy prawns and the balance of spicy curry and sweet pineapple was perfect, definitely well deserved as a signature dish. The Pad Thai was also great, flavourful and satisfying. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, with just the right level of noise to feel lively but not overwhelming. Parking was a bit tricky since the shared lot behind the restaurant is narrow and limited, but it was worth the effort. Highly recommend this place, we absolutely loved it!”

“Never noticed this place before however when walking past, the smell of delicious food pulled us in. The food was fantastic, we had Chicken Green Curry, Thai Style Gao Pad Chicken and one other dish my partner can’t remember the name of. All were so good! The guy serving us had good chat and made dinner really enjoyable. All washed down with a Chang beer made for the perfect dinner. Well priced. Heaps of locals picking up takeaways show it’s really popular so will definitely be back.”

We had to wait a bit longer than what we were expecting to get our order ready in a busy Saturday night but it was worth it. Music playback was not a perfect match with the ambient but still okay. “This is a nice and delicious Thai restaurant. I tried the slow cook beef cheeks and it was fantastic. A bit spicy but nothing I could handle (I’m Mexican). The side of Jazmin rice was very good and helped with the spiciness. They have Tuatara and Tiger beer on tap.”

“We had a delightful dinner at Siamese Doll recently. The flavours were amazing, portions were generous, the service was attentive without being overbearing. We had 2 entrees, 4 mains and a round of drinks for $60 a head, which I thought was great value. Great to see a busy restaurant on a Wednesday night! They also dealt with my daughter’s nut allergy seriously and respectfully. We’ll definitely be back again soon!”

“I like to revise my review. Visited the restaurant two years later, I like to say the owner has definitely put effort into the restaurant. They focused on the complaint I have made. It's now a place I like to take my kids in, a place I m not afraid to invite my family. A place I highly recommend. The following were the review two years ago::::::The noodle soup base was good, but the chicken and crab stick on it was off last time I visited. This time they stir fried the chicken so it's tender, but mask the soup base. Soup because salty and greasy. What a shame.”

“This Thai restaurant is right near my home, and I can't believe I had never tried it before! I decided to give it a shot over the weekend and was surprised to find it quite busy. I ordered a **Prawn Nasi Goreng**—the portion was huge, and the rice was packed tightly into the bowl. It was super fragrant! I also got the **Crispy Pork Belly**—the pieces were large, and the sauce mixed with the fried rice was incredibly delicious. Finally, I ordered a snack: **Satay Skewers**—chicken skewers coated in rich satay peanut sauce, absolutely amazing! The restaurant even offers a **keto menu**, so it's great for those on a diet or into fitness. I'll definitely be going back again!”
