It is a nice place to have a catch-up with friends, great atmosphere. Food was good except the spring rolls, the wrapper is a bit hard, not thin enough. We love the Pha Thai, the Red curry was nice and the Mango sticky rice was a great dish to have at the end.
Ordered 3 meals to take away. 1st photo is Pad Thai - 730g incl. the take away bowl. 2nd photo is Chicken Macadamia - 580g incl. the bowl. 3rd photo is Pad See Eew - 694g incl bowl. In general, the food was good and it's got a fire taste to it. I think they were cooked in a very high heat which I love. Will be returning for more meal.
This is a nice and delicious Thai restaurant. I tried the slow cook beef cheeks and it was fantastic. A bit spicy but nothing I could handle (I’m Mexican). The side of Jazmin rice was very good and helped with the spiciness. They have Tuatara and Tiger beer on tap.
The soft shell crab was perfectly crispy and paired so well with the fresh herbs and dipping sauce. The grilled beef with green curry was tender, juicy, and the coconut flakes on top added a perfect crunch. The tom yum soup was a comforting bowl of spicy, tangy goodness—packed with tofu and veggies. And the papaya salad? So refreshing, with a perfect balance of sour, sweet, and spicy. Service was friendly and the atmosphere warm and inviting. Highly recommend if you’re craving authentic Thai flavors with a modern twist
Have been going here since my eldest was a two year old (he's now almost 16). It was known then as Mekong Nua. Even when they changed their name, their offerings and service have only become better. I have only nice things to say. Very pleasant owners and crew too! Thank you.
Tried Prawns Pad Thai, Green curry and 3 other dishes. All the food were really tasty & reasonably priced. The staff are all friendly & the restaurant is tidy & clean. Lovely to find this Thai restaurant in New Lynn & we will love to go back.
Delicious, authentic-tasting, well presented food with thoughtful and attentive service. Great outdoor dining area for warmer evenings, too. Definitely going back soon. We had the dumplings and summer rolls (fresh spring rolls) to start, the latter of which was made with tofu to accomodate my vegan needs; followed by a tofu green curry with rice and a duck Pad Thai for my companion. Excellent flavours and quality ingredients.
