A really memorable dining experience at GAO Asian Fusion. Every dish was layered with flavour β rich, balanced, and thoughtfully put together. You get that perfect mix of modern Asian fusion with deep, comforting flavours that keep you wanting another bite. Nothing felt rushed or generic; each plate felt intentional. The service made it even better. Rupert was excellent β warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food. His recommendations highlighted the menu perfectly and made the whole meal flow effortlessly. Great food, great service, great vibe. Easily a place Iβd return to and recommend without hesitation.

The food was all very good but I was surprised at how fast the food came out, though it wasn't very busy. Feels a little understaffed with floor staff as it was a mission each time I tried to get waiters attention. Felt a little on the expensive side but has some pretty unique dishes. Taste: 5/5 Presentation: 5/5 Timeliness: 5/5 Price: 3/5

Our recent dinner at GAO Asian Fusion in Albany was an absolute delight from start to finish. The vibe of the place is fantastic modern and buzzing with energy. The menu is a revelation, brilliantly reimagining traditional dishes with a creative, modern twist. We were blown away by the unique flavours; the KFC Bao was a clever and tasty surprise, while the Yellow Curry and Crab Dumplings were elevated to new heights. Even familiar items like the eggplant were transformed into something extraordinary. Each dish, from the Passionfruit Mojito to the "Gawmil The Doctor" cocktail, demonstrated a thoughtful and successful blend of flavours that worked in perfect harmony. This isn't your typical Asian restaurant; it's a culinary adventure. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience something truly different and delicious. We can't wait to return to explore more of the menu

Absolutely amazing, delicious flavoursome food. We did trust the chef & it didnβt disappoint. Staff were super friendly and polite, the art work on the walls is also super cool.

The taste of foods was just amazing. Stunningly balanced flavours. Perfectly cooked. Descent sized portions. We had to wait a bit longer than what we were expecting to get our order ready in a busy Saturday night but it was worth it. Music playback was not a perfect match with the ambient but still okay. Friendly staff. Definitely will come back.

Me and my partner came here for a birthday celebration and as we were highly looking forward to this meal, we were sadly left unsatisfied. The first alarming call was when we had ordered a drink that arrived far too strong, we called over the waitress and asked if we could have this either remade or switched for another drink the same price and we received a dirty look from the waitress who then told us if we ordered a βsubstitute drinkβ we would still be charged for the undrinkable drink and she wouldnβt void it. Then came the food, as it started arriving on the table, the squid we ordered was rubbery and floury, the dumplings came out cold and the prawns were undercooked which left us very disappointed as we were both highly looking forward to this meal. While the service was half decent, we were again left very disappointed and unfortunately will not be returning.

Loved this place. Came here on a Friday night but the only booking available was 5:00, so we were the only ones in here. But despite that it was amazing. The service was perfect and everyone was so incredibly kind. Then we get to the food and it couldn't of been better, the cheeseburger spring rolls, tuna, duck pancakes, and just everything was perfect. I've been to many asian fusion restaurants before but this one takes the cake, the atmosphere, service, and food were all top tier. Will definitely be returning soon.

We decided to try this place for dinner. The place wasn't too hard to find. There are a few parking spots around the building but they did get full quite quickly but there were more spots further down the area. The place is quite interesting with a fairly large mural on the Albany Highway side of the building. The interior is similar with a variety of murals along the many surfaces of the restaurant. The bar is by the entrance and there is a fireplace which is in the middle of the dining area. Both the food and drink menu has interesting items on it. We grabbed a few items to share. The pad thai here is quite flavourful. As was the stir fried greens. The roti and coconut rice here is also nice. The desserts were also interesting. The panna cotta had a nice texture with the fruits and other things around it. The banana spring roll was almost like a banana fritter. The coconut rockstar was a bit different, almost like a deep fried ice cream. It was an interesting way to end the meal. The food and cocktails here were interesting and tasty.

We had the Gao Fried Chicken, Drunken Fish, Crispy Eggplant, Kung Pa-Orange chicken, Sichuan Spicy Noodles & Papaya Salad. The Goa Fried Chicken was great. Nice & crispy, but it just needed a hot/sweet/spicy dipping sauce. The Drunken Fish was average, it lacked taste. The Crispy Eggplant was a highlight. Delish! The Kung Pa-Orange chicken was average, it lacked depth and flavor. The Sichuan Spicy Noodles β¦.average. The Papaya Salad was another highlight. Weβve eaten twice here now and it seems consistent. There are some great dishes. Enjoy!
