“Just want to make mention of a wonderful employee you have at Bunnings Silverdale, Ray! She was professional, caring and valuing of her customers, putting them first. I returned a Ryobi lawn mower as I got the wrong one, she made the process smooth and easy - I walked away with the correct one. Thank you Ray!”
“Pak’nSave Westgate is a newer and tidier branch that still sticks to the chain’s signature no-frills vibe. It’s built for budget shoppers, but it feels a bit more modern compared to some of the older locations. If you’re in the West Auckland area, it’s one of the better options when it comes to balancing affordability with a clean, roomy shopping experience. The store is spacious, well laid out, and usually well-stocked. Aisles are wide, which helps with the flow of foot traffic even during peak hours. It’s still a very practical setup — shelves packed high, lots of bulk products, and nothing fancy in terms of presentation — but everything’s easy to find. Prices are, as always with Pak’nSave, the main draw. You can save quite a bit here, especially on pantry staples, meat, and cleaning products. The produce section is usually decent, with a good range of fruit and veg, though the freshness can still vary day to day. The meat section offers plenty of variety at a decent price point, and the bakery’s got all the basics — bread, rolls, and the usual treats. Staff are generally helpful if you approach them, though it’s still a self-service kind of environment. Don’t expect heaps of interaction, but they’ll assist you if you ask. The checkout area is usually well-staffed, and self-service options are available for smaller shops. Queues move fairly quickly even when it’s busy. Parking is pretty good at Westgate. There’s plenty of space, and it’s easy to get in and out of the carpark compared to other branches. Being part of a large shopping complex also means you can tick off other errands while you’re in the area. Just like other Pak’nSaves, you might find some differences between what’s online and what’s actually in store, so it’s best to shop with a bit of flexibility. Overall, Pak’nSave Westgate is a strong performer. It’s clean, spacious, and reliable for those who want to get a big shop done without overspending. It’s still a no-frills setup, but it feels a little more polished than the older branches, which makes for a smoother experience all round.”
“I am so grateful for Caroles amazing customer service every time. I come in almost every second day to send things via the post and she is always so lovely and helpful, always willing to go the extra mile and makes posting a whole bunch of things a breeze. Definitely a lovely small town community feel thanks to her.”
“Great prices on fresh food, good range of products. They mark down their fruit/veg that is past its best. The staff are super helpful and friendly. 15 minute carparks right out front and longer ones just on the other side of the carpark.”
“Everything you need great customer service”
“Farro has the freshest and best quality veges, and at times it's cheaper than the supermarket. They stock many specialist products like duck and steamed buns..... The wine selection is very good, and I prefer their rose selection to supermarkets. The store has a farmers market, community feel. They offer fresh rolls, salads and coffee. I only buy deli meats from here as the quality is better than supermarket brands. Staff are friendly and helpful.”
“Japan Mart City Centre is honestly the best hidden gem in town! Everything is so affordable, and the staff are incredibly friendly. Every time I walk in, I feel so welcomed it has such a wholesome, inviting vibe. Definitely my go-to spot for Japanese goodies!”
“The online ordering team are fantastic - they pack the freshest produce every single time, the orders are always ready / delivered on time, and their communication is excellent. I couldn’t be happier. Thank you for the consistent care and quality!”

“Fantastic store. Produce was of beautiful quality and the items I purchased were cheaper than the supermarket. Great selection. Well set-out store. Friendly staff. Worth the extra time on the motorway.”
“My first choice when it comes to American snacks and baking ingredients. It used to have a lot Children theme birthday party accessories, but today I went and not much left. They sell lots in bulk, so great for goody bag or party favour gift.”
“The staff was really helpful and friendly. It has various goods from Asia, including indonesia, malaysia, and philippine. I found all necessary spices to cook traditional Indonesian food in this shop.”
“Good range of products. Fruit and vegetables seem well priced. Products displayed nicely. Products not found in supermarket is a bonus”
“Woolworths Waiata Shores in Takanini is one of the most impressive and forward-thinking supermarkets in South Auckland. It’s not just a place to shop—it’s part of a larger, eco-conscious development that blends sustainability with everyday convenience. From the moment you walk in, you’ll notice how clean, tidy, and well-organized the store is. The wide aisles, modern fixtures, and inviting layout make for a calm and enjoyable shopping experience. Shoppers often praise the helpful and friendly staff, as well as thoughtful touches like kid-sized trolleys, which make it easier for families to bring their little ones along. What really sets this Woolworths apart, however, is its commitment to sustainability. It holds the distinction of being Auckland’s first supermarket to receive Green Star accreditation, which reflects its environmentally responsible design. The building is fitted with solar panels that generate a portion of its power, along with advanced refrigeration systems that use natural refrigerants. Energy-saving LED lights, water-efficient taps, and even digital shelf labels all contribute to a greener operation. The store also offers EV charging stations and bike parking, making it easier for customers to choose sustainable transport options. In terms of product range, the store has everything you’d expect and more—from fresh produce and a well-stocked bakery to an in-store pharmacy and online order pickup services. It’s strategically located at the entrance of the Waiata Shores development, which is a thoughtfully planned community with parks, walkways, and cafes, creating a welcoming neighborhood hub for locals. Overall, Woolworths Waiata Shores is a great example of how supermarkets can combine excellent service, cleanliness, and convenience with serious environmental efforts. Whether you’re doing your weekly grocery run or picking up a few essentials, this store makes the experience smooth, pleasant, and sustainable.”
