“We can highly recommend Harbour View Cottage for a place to stay for a night or two as we did once when returning from an overseas trip, and again for a family reunion. The cottage is charming, quaint, clean, reasonably priced and quiet and the hosts couldn't have been more helpful. We plan to go back again soon as there's the huge Factory shopping complex all in walking distance. It's a lovely spot even for a night's hideaway..”

“I can only rate the bar and the meal, as we didn't stay at their accommodation. Although the restaurant was closed, we were able to order at the bar. The bar was very busy, but the staff took our order and brought our drinks promptly to us. We both ordered the chicken parmigiana and were very happy with it. The serving size was more than enough, and we felt the wait really wasn't that long at all, especially considering how busy they were. I'd be happy to return again the next time I'm in Auckland.”

“We greeted warmly by the hosts who gave us a tour of the spacious, clean, and tastefully appointed B & B. They showed us where things are in the kitchen but we’re always available if we needed them. We had a room with a private bath and doors opening out to the wrap around porch. The porch faced a beautiful park. The location is in a residential neighborhood but walking distance to restaurants and the Botanical Gardens. We will return!”

“From the beginning to the end, we had a very polite response. The host couple are kind, gentle and good people. Breakfast was much better than other B&Bs . will listen to your request. Crispy bacon, croissant, delicious. On the last day, when I said it was an early morning flight, they put fruit and juice in the refrigerator. We also got laundry done for free. We will listen to your questions and requests as much as possible. Because it is in front of the port of Devonport, it was very convenient to go to the center of Auckland. In addition, it is B&B which wants to stay by all means if there is opportunity to go to Auckland. Parking is free.”
