“Great service and well priced spirits here. Was impressed with my recent purchase of NZ whiskey 'Me Max'. A very good price and taste was better than I was expecting for an economical blended whiskey. Definitely worth it. Taste was something a bit different- sweeter than most blended whiskies I have tried- but in a good way.”
“Great place to shop indian grocery, good and clean environment, customer service is ok. Pricing is good, heaps of alternative options”
“The U K Shop. U K items available. A Taste From Home The management has changed and the staff is very much polite, courteous and helpful. Very nice environment. They have N Z post and Lotto too. Many services and items at one place. I would suggest to visit those who visit Orewa, NZ”
“Fresh fruit & Veg, quick customer service from friendly staff. Reasonably priced”

“Pak’nSave Sylvia Park is one of the better options if you’re after cheap groceries but still want a cleaner, more modern shopping experience. Being located right next to the Sylvia Park shopping centre gives it a bit of an edge — it feels a little more polished than some of the older Pak’nSaves around Auckland, and the vibe is a bit less hectic, at least during off-peak hours. The store itself is fairly new, well-lit, and spacious. Aisles are wide enough to get through without having to constantly dodge other trolleys, and the layout makes sense. It’s still got that classic Pak’nSave look — plain, functional, no fancy extras — but it’s more pleasant to walk around than somewhere like Papakura or Royal Oak. Prices are solid. You’ll find all the usual weekly deals and budget-friendly bulk items. If you’re planning a big shop or trying to save a bit each week, this place delivers. The produce section is usually well-stocked and fresher than average. Same goes for the meat department — good variety, and the quality seems to be a bit more consistent here compared to other branches. The bakery has your standard breads and rolls, nothing gourmet, but decent for everyday needs. Staff are generally helpful. They’re not going to chase you down to offer assistance, but if you ask someone, they’ll usually point you in the right direction or find what you need. Checkout times can vary — self-service is available and useful for smaller shops, while the manned checkouts are hit-or-miss depending on the time of day. Parking is actually pretty good since it shares space with Sylvia Park Mall. There’s heaps of it, and it’s not as chaotic as some other Pak’nSave carparks. That said, it can get busy during peak shopping hours or weekends, especially when the mall is packed, but it’s manageable and definitely better than the tight squeeze at places like Royal Oak. One minor issue is that, like with other Pak’nSaves, not everything listed online matches what’s available in-store. So if you’re going in for something specific you saw on the website, be prepared for it to be out of stock or just not stocked at this location. All up, Pak’nSave Sylvia Park strikes a pretty good balance — you get the low prices and variety that Pak’nSave is known for, but with a cleaner, more organised store layout and a bit less stress. It’s a solid option if you’re in the area and don’t mind skipping the frills to get the savings.”
“Got what I needed at reasonable prices. Staff are always helpful and did help me yo make some good decisions. Parking is right outside.”
“Spice World is my go-to store for authentic Indian and Pakistani groceries and spices. They have a fantastic variety of fresh and packaged products—from fragrant spices and lentils to frozen snacks and specialty items you can’t find elsewhere. The store is clean, well-organized, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable, and I always find what I’m looking for. Highly recommended for anyone who loves cooking desi food or needs hard-to-find ingredients!”
“I visited today to check out their recent refurbishment. Love the new layout. Great variety of foods and household products on offer. The staff here are always super friendly.”
“Authentic Indian cuisine We visit here every week”
“JUNE 2025 - new management I've lived close by for years but it has only recently become one of my favorite shops in the area! This place is under new management and they have put a lot of effort into making it a great little shop. It has come a long way in a short amount of time and I really hope they get the customer support need. They have an excellent selection super fresh produce, frozen and pantry food, must have basics and exotic food from around the globe. Thanks :)”
“FANTASTIC ONLINE STORE - lovely website, great communication and delivery. AWESOME biltong. Try the original flavour with a squeeze of lemon juice. Noleen was fantastic to deal with. My favourite SA store now and i've tried most of them.”
“Always get served by someone called Aryan. Amazing young man, gives me the best recommendations on what to buy! Prices are a lot cheaper than other liquor stores around.”
“Friendly staff and security. Quick self service check out lanes. In house deli and made meals are fresh and delicious. Well stocked and plenty of parking. Deals with club card are well worth the time.”

“The new customer services team, Chris in particular is outstandingly customer focussed. I have been a loyal customer for years but apart from the owners who will obviously be customer driven they have had a mixedbag of counter staff, leaving a bit to be desired. Good job in hiring the latest Filipino talent! They know how to delight a customer.”
“Great shop! very neat and clean and VERY GOOD PEOPLE THERE. Awesome Customer Service!!!!!!”
“Posting on behalf of husband. Great service and competitive pricing!”
“A great place to get a variety of specialist foods ie, keto, paleo, gluten free flour, sauces etc. Heaps of herbs, spices, teas, flours, bread making kits. They have beer making supplies, they have lots of stuff! Nice, friendly and helpful staff too.”
“Has everything you need whilst on the island.”
“Great range of fresh fruit and veges. Always leave feeling like I got a bargain. The service is unbeatable. Very friendly”
“Pak’nSave Ormiston is one of the newer stores around, and you can definitely tell. It feels a lot cleaner and more modern compared to the older Pak’nSave branches. The layout is spacious, the lighting is bright, and everything’s a bit more organised. It’s still got that classic Pak’nSave warehouse vibe, but it’s a lot more pleasant to shop in. The prices are what you’d expect — some of the cheapest around. If you’re doing a big shop or trying to save a bit each week, it’s a solid option. They have all the basics, and the weekly specials are usually pretty good. The fresh produce section is generally decent. Most of the fruit and veg look fresh, although just like any supermarket, sometimes you’ll come across stuff that’s seen better days. The meat section is well-stocked and usually good value. The bakery has a nice variety too, with heaps of buns, rolls, and breads ready to grab. Staff at Ormiston seem friendlier than at some other branches. If you ask for help, they’re usually happy to assist, and you’ll spot a few walking around the aisles if you need anything. Self-checkouts are there if you’re in a rush, but even the manned checkouts move at a good pace most of the time. Parking is probably one of the best parts. Since it’s in the Ormiston Town Centre area, you get a big parking lot with easy access. It doesn’t feel as chaotic as some other locations, which makes the whole trip a bit less stressful. The area around the store is nice too — you’ve got other shops, cafés, and places to stop in if you want to make it more of an outing. One thing to note though, just like other Pak’nSave stores, some items shown online might not always be available in-store. So if you’re planning your shop based on what you see on the website, maybe don’t expect everything to be there when you arrive. Overall, Pak’nSave Ormiston is a pretty good spot to do your shopping. It’s clean, newer, and has a good range of products at great prices. You still get the budget-friendly experience Pak’nSave is known for, just with a slightly nicer atmosphere than the older stores.”
“I can find everything I favour here. Price is very reasonable. Always stock of refreshments.”
“I just went to get a cone pieces and the Maori or island gentlemen help me was very friendly with very good and honest recomendation. I forgot to ask for his name but well done to him for great service even know the purchase wasn't that big. Would always return for his great service !”
