had a very disappointing experience at this store due to the extremely rude customer service. The staff member was unhelpful and dismissive when I asked about a product, initially saying it was unavailable with an unfriendly attitude, only to later say it was right next to her. She also made unnecessary comments about me asking questions, which was unprofessional.
This was my first time experiencing such behavior in this store, as I usually deal with another staff member who is always polite. However, today’s experience was unacceptable, and the attitude of the staff member was not suitable for customer service at all.

We have been a regular customer at Khyber Shop since its early days, back when it was owned by two brothers, then later sold to another owner, and now managed by the current Eutopian lady owner. Over the years, the shop has evolved, not only continuing to offer a wide variety of spices, rice, sweets, and bulk food but now she also introducing a range of Muslim clothing for men, women, and children, as well as carpets in various sizes.
The current lady owner is incredibly friendly and helpful, and I’ve always appreciated her dedication to providing great service and maintaining a welcoming environment.
However, during my recent visit, the owner was not present, and a worker was managing the shop. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with her attitude. When I entered and greeted her with salaam, she neither smiled nor replied, which felt disheartening. At checkout, her demeanor lacked any warmth or customer service, and when I expressed gratitude by saying "JazakAllah," she did not respond with "wa iyyaki" or acknowledge it at all.
As a small family business owner myself, I understand the importance of good customer service, especially when entrusted employees represent the business. While I greatly respect the lady owner and her efforts, I feel that this kind of experience could negatively impact her business and loyal customer relationships.
I sincerely hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I truly want to see this wonderful shop thrive. Wishing the owner and the business all the best!
