“I had heard a lot about Lucky Gs and their reputation as the best burger spot in New Zealand, so my wife and I decided to check it out. It's located near Kelston Mall, and there was plenty of street parking available, so we had no trouble finding a spot. It was Sunday afternoon, and the place was buzzing with people dining in and grabbing takeaways. The interior looked amazing. Lots of cool decorations and photos that gave the place a great vibe. The staff were super friendly and enjoyed what they did, which made the atmosphere even livelier. As for the burgers, they lived up to the hype. My wife had the Little G - a tasty, smaller burger that wasn’t too juicy but still really flavourful. I went for the burger with jalapeños and loved the spicy kick. We added a combo for $7, and the potato chips were perfectly cooked. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and can't wait to come back and try more of their burgers!”

“An absolutely fabulous place to go with kids. The menu is all amazingly delicious and healthy! The kids had smoothies and we had yummy toasted chicken wraps with coffee and bliss balls. Highly recommended! The Snickers bliss balls and tropical smoothie were to die for. The owner and staff are super lovely! The kids had such a great time with the painting too. Even colouring in and a cool kids corner for the younger ones. A must do in Huapai!”

“We happened to discover this place while passing by. The owner was very friendly, and there were plenty of chocolates to taste. The cozy shop was decorated with a variety of chocolates. Every chocolate that our family tasted was delicious. We regret not buying more. We searched for their website to purchase again and hope that it will be updated to make ordering easier. I look forward to visiting this place again :)”

“The best place for breakfast & lunch on Waiheke Island! Lovely spot with few seats outside, offering stellar breakfasts with REAL french patisserie goods (only place we got a like-in-Paris croissant in weeks...), as well as yummy sandwiches & burgers around lunchtime. Prices significantly lower than rest of the island while the food is better here. We came back twice during our three day-stay on the island!”

“I don't know how many of you know about this hidden gem. This Filipino BBQ restaurant is yum and charm, especially to the meat lovers you really don't want to miss it. Upper Queen right opposite the park, small venue but very worth the penny you pay. Great Filipino hospitality, one person to handle almost everything still wear his natural smile. The pork ribs, steak and the adolbo (Filipino slow cooked pork ribs) are the three recommendations you must try.”

“I saw a video of some Kiwis making a "candy salad" and I had to try what they were putting into it. A quick Google search brought me to Kiwi Corner Dairy and they had everything I saw in the video. I filled my basket, and even though the shipping basically equalled what I ordered (understandable, it's coming from across the world!), I happily bought my goodies. It took only a few days for the package to arrive and everything was wrapped carefully and nothing was smashed, spilled, or melted. All of the packaging was also recyclable, which I appreciate. Thanks for sending a taste of New Zealand!”

“Chunky Chook makes some of the best crunchy fried chicken in the West! Reminds me of other chicken places in town, but closer to home (and just as good, if not better!). Their chicken is really juicy and tender, with a really crisp battered crust. I do enjoy the flavours they bring to both the chicken patties (especially their spicy chicken burger) and the chips. Subtle but noticeable. Always a great choice for lunch or dinner, and the amazing team there make it worthwhile.”
