   Really loved the atmosphere here, very cute and homey. Absolutely loved the food here, my first time trying Jamaican food and was very pleased with the flavours of the food, especially the curry and mac & cheese. 10/10 service to our waitress Jada, super friendly and made us feel comfortable right away. Will definitely be coming back to try the other dishes!

   Good atmosphere, Great food, and super friendly staff! Especially our amazing waitress Jada. We got the chilli coconut curry with rice, fries, and mac and cheese with some jalapeno peppers and jerk chicken. it was all delicious, i’ll definitely be back!!!

   When we heard Nanny’s was back in town, we knew it was a sign we had to finally visit! We came for a late dinner on a Friday night, and it was such a blast. I hadn’t tried Jamaican food before, so it was all new to me. The staff were super welcoming, chatty, and funny, helping us pick our food and drinks. They recommended the pork belly, oxtail, and jerk chicken, which is exactly what we ordered, along with sides of Nanny’s fries, rice and beans, and mac n’ cheese. The flavours were bold, smoky, and packed with spice. The pork belly was incredibly tender, and the oxtail just fell right off the bone. The jerk chicken was a little lighter on flavour, but everything came with some fantastic sauces. The rum BBQ sauce was phenomenal, and the hot sauce was a great touch, both served on the side, making it easy to share. I also really enjoyed my drink, a banana rum with coke, sweet and easy to drink without being too strong. Can definitely recommend! Great vibes, delicious food, and a flavour experience that’s a fresh addition to the Auckland dining scene. I’ll absolutely be back.

   Read about this place a few weeks ago. Got to try it tonight & it didn't disappoint! It was busy but service was great & food came out quickly. Owner was hilarious but also made sure we were well looked after. Food was delicious & very reasonably priced! Will be back for sure.

   It was pretty busy when we dropped in, so it took a bit to get our food but it was SO GOOD. The atmosphere is super fun, and the guy (owner?) serving us was fantastic and made sure nothing was too spicy for the kids. We got the jerk chicken, wings, Mac n cheese, empanadas, and the curry with chicken and everything was AMAZING.

   Updated review, June 2023: As someone who has visited Jamaica for 3 months, I can tell you that the food here is impeccable and can rival the food you eat in Jamaica. The Jerk has a nice, softer texture and the Goat Curry is really well flavoured. The sides are great. Worth the money. The vibe is good too, with the Jamaican reggae playing in the restaurant. JP is funny and the rest of the staff are all good too Fantastic taste of Jamaica, before going there! Texture was spot on, I could really taste the grilled flavor and the meat was juicy! Sauce tasted good as well! Shared much similarity in taste to Peking Duck, but is more smoky and easier to eat!

   Booked a table for 4 for my son's birthday at 7pm. Ordered a Mojito and Purple Kush for cocktails, and a couple of soft drinks. Fried Pork Spare Ribs for starters was.yum and prompt. The rest took awhile- Jerk Chicken, Pork Belly and Jamaican Oxtail with Fries, Green Salad, Rice, Mac N Cheese. They ran out of the Slaw after taking our order so we switched to more green salad. They were all delicious.

   Booked in at Nanny’s for Mother’s Day dinner. Smooth and easy process. Arrived to friendly smiles and got us seated with a high chair for our son. Complimentary drink for Mother’s Day was a nice touch, we ordered the half jerk chicken with fries and slaw and the Rasta pasta and added beef (a must! the beef was so delicious) as well as the pasta! Good things take time so grab a drink and enjoy your company while you wait for your meal to come out! Def recommended :) thanks team! P.s the cocktails are amazing too

   The experience was nothing short of amazing, with fantastic service and food that blew me away. The staff were all welcoming and attentive, making sure that our every need was met throughout the evening. The highlight of the night was definitely the drink we ordered - the spicy Maria. I have never tasted a cocktail quite like it, with just the right amount of spice and sweetness. It was the perfect complement to the incredible food that was served.
