“Both chips and fish were fried to perfection. This shop uses only vegetable oil for frying in effect which gives it the good crunch. It was quite a surprise to find them open on Boxing Day too, and its proximity to Titahi Bay Beach is an equation that one can't simply miss.”

“Homemade dumplings were very good. We had pork, prawn and chives. Enjoyed the vegetable chow mein too, which had a lot of fresh vegetables and wasn't too saucy. Looking forward to trying other dishes on the menu.”

“IG: 2Fish1Chip Order: Blue Cod, Warehou and a scoop of chips. Cost: $33.80 I thought two different fillets would be better for comparison and as a more solid baseline. Firstly, WTAF!?! The size of these fillets were ginormous!!! I had to put a can of coke next to them for scale! Both fillets were equally delicious and cooked to peak performance. The Warehou was fresh and steaky as you would expect. Tasty and filling to the very end. The batter had perfect colouring and crunch. The Blue Cod had the same battered goodness, and flesh was flaky, soft and melted in your mouth. Classic Blue Cod vibes all the way to bank! The only minor piece on both fillets was the batter. The inside was a little underdone probably due to the dense mixture, but it was only a minor blip against the entire experience. The Crickle Cuts, we’re good as well. Nice crunch before reaching the pillowy centre. The portion was twice that of an average serving. ✅ Portion ✅ Cost ✅ Taste - With an asterisk for the batter Definitely value for money from these guys. Not sure if it was a one off, but I’d be keen to go back and do check in come summer. Xiexie”

The chicken was unbelievably fresh and juicy, with a super crispy coating that had me hooked from the first bite. And those fries? Straight out of the fryer and oh-so-crispy! The noodles were a flavor explosion, and I had zero complaints. Don't even get me started on the potato fritter – just $1 and the perfect potato to batter ratio, a definite must-have! And the deep fried Moro Bar? Simply the best I've ever had. Talk about ending the meal on a high note! Plus, the people here are just lovely and kind. What more could you ask for? Also a good way to support your local business.”

“Noodle Man is one of those places that you need to visit when you're craving some hot soup and great noodles. I have been going to Noodle Man consistently for the past several years, even before I moved to Wellington and what a joy this place is. Everything on their menu is under $25 which is a rare find in a city that is full of overpriced dishes with less than desired flavours. Their Beef Noodle Soup is such an exceptional dish that you'd be hard pressed to find a better bowl in Wellington. The beef is so tender that it falls apart when you try to pick it up with your chopsticks. The broth is rich, deep and full of warm spices that leave you feeling comforted after just one sip. If I could eat one type of noodle dish for the rest of my life, it would very well be Noodle Man's Beef Noodle Soup. Their rice dishes are also such great value and they really heap on the amount of meat and veges. Please support this lovely business. Capital Market is definitely not what it used to be but it deserves all the love nonetheless.”

“Just ordered off Uber Eats the number one most liked Honey Chicken Rice & the egg fried rice is one of the most delicious I’ve had. It’s hot & very tasty, extremely moreish. The chicken is covered in generous sauce which is much appreciated & cooked very well. Fills you up fast too because the sauce is lovely & rich. Great size meals servings making it good value for money. We tried a new meal satay chicken which we really enjoyed too. The chips were nice and crisp while fluffy inside. It’s clear Bikaner has stepped up its game and set a higher standard for Indian dining in the area.”

“Love this place. The owners are so nice and the food is so yummy. They always answer the phone and then the food is ready in 10 minutes. Even my cat loves the orange beef. She eats it all in 30 seconds flat. Crazy impressive!”

“Well worth the trip and the wait (if there is one on a busy day). There’s a reason they’re often busy - quite easily the best fish and chips in the whole Wellington area. As someone from the UK it’s genuinely the only place I can go and have fish and chips anything like they are back home. Absolutely fantastic. Young staff very competent and friendly too. Prices outstandingly reasonable as well. Will be going back for many years hopefully.”
